I'd rather not disclose that on here as it might ruin my reputation with the ladies of TSR.

Uh, I wouldn't get mad :/ Usually I ignore it when strangers use terms of endearment (happens a lot at work) so I probably wouldn't notice. If my boyfriend did it I would laugh and tell him to stick to sötnos like he normally calls me :/

I don't think I'd like it. It seems a bit of an odd term to use really! I think pet names can be good but only if you've gotten to know the person a bit better first, sounds to me like you'd only just met her.

    Well, yes.
I would most certainly mind if the person I loved called me Shawtie.
    Please don't do it again.

I don't mind being called nicknames at all. To be given a nickname is kind of a compliment from the weird culture that is British men. The more they like you the ruder they often are.

Some girls are just really, irrationally insecure about certain things about them- and hate it when guys bring them up. Like if a girl is a bit chubby, calling her so, even in jest will just bring out all her insecurities and make her really angry with you. So in future, make an effort of being understanding of this, if you care about her never call her this again and try to compliment her (not obviously- because she'll guess what you're up to) but if she makes an effort in her style/make-up one day. Seriously .
