Not sure, check that gap year thread I put the link up to. I think you can specify when you want it to start, but I'd check on www.gapyear.com or the Lonely Planet website. Failing that give the embassy a ring/email.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if it helps, but I got 30 days free and different land borders in Thailand twice; applicable unless they've changed the regulations of course.

If this is completely irrelevant ignore me, I just don't have time to read the link

Yeah I will probably go to most the relevant embassies in the summer, so I can find out then; thanks anyway though.

I believe they will now only give you a 15 day visa on arrival, which is simply rubbish for a 6 month gap year; I thikn I can get a 30/60 day tourist visa in Kuala Lumpur, so I will try there :yep:
