Isn't cinema quality resolutions higher though? So he would've had to upscale in the editing stage, no? Film can be so technical as well. :teeth:
Yeah, but I meant for Blu Ray. :p:

I don't really have much interest in this kind of thing; the technical aspects I like are more concerned with the techniques and editing etc.

Btw, I got the Wired for last month and this month. Intellectual Ventures. :coma: As well as the story about the bomber robbing the bank and Max Butler.
Glad you liked it. I'd hate to recommend something that people then went and spent money on and didn't enjoy.

Ah, I see. Btw, how amazing is Tron: Legacy going to look in blu ray. Ahem, Olivia Wilde... :awesome:

Yeah, I've read the American version before that my brother got at the airport 2 years coming back home. Yeah, it's really good, though obviously some of the products reviewed or featured clearly indicate that the magazine is primarily bought by tech savvy people who are rich and live in the city. :p:

Realistically, most people don't give two hoots and talk about TV shows anyway. Also, very few are shot in film. I know classics such as Seinfeld and Frasier were, as well as shows like Mad Men, The Sopranos and others, since they have been converted to blu ray (which can only be done with film at the moment).
Fair enough. :getmecoat:

If it weren't for TSR rules, I would be discussing porn here.

Have you not watched it? It's brilliant, highly recommended. However, it may not be the best thing for you if the mood you're in is 'blockbuster action movies'.

How about;
Face / Off?
The Game?
True Romance?
The Score?

Some of those aren't blockbusters, but they're more in the mould of what I'm guessing you're after.
Just found Predators. Going to give that a watch. I'm skipping AVP 2: Requiem because I heard that was terrible.

Due Date, probably. It's not great, nor is it even particularly good, but it's a nice, reasonably funny, check-your-brain-at-the-door kind of comedy.

Anyway:

Glad The Third Man, Withnail and I and Kind Hearts and Coronets made the top fifteen

Looks good.
Aw, it does look good. I hope it is. I remember seeing Richard Ayoade talking about making a film ages ago on some chat show (no idea which) and I had completely forgotten about it until now

It's incredibly pretentious in parts, but very much worth checking out. Alan Ball is an excellent writer; if you like AB I'd check out his series Six Feet Under too. I presumably don't need to tell you to avoid his *other* series, True Blood, like it's a rapey uncle at a family gathering.
Six Feet Under is immensely good, I never once got bored of it and I watched it all in a very short space of time... I had no idea he wrote True Blood as well. I assume this is a fairly unpopular opinion within this thread, but I actually like True Blood

Yeah, I watched all of it in the space of about a week.

And it may be unpopular in this thread, but it should be unpopular everywhere. It's trash ffs

 Michael Moore is taking the Weinstein Bros to court. Could this affect The King's Speech's chance to win Best Picture? :iiam:
