This is a big mistake to sign Jamie Vardy. Hopefully it doesn't go through

If you think Arsenal play one style of football where we dominate possession and press teams then you don't watch Arsenal. We try to play like that but it doesn't always work, as evidenced by this season. We only play well like that at home, against 80% of teams of I'd say. Arsenal's best feature is and has been for some time now our counter attack.

Some Arsenal fans genuinely are ****ing blind, I question whether they actually watch our games and the amount of times Giroud gets fed the ball clean through to **** his chance up.

Not just him. Walcott and Sanchez too. They all suddenly switched off after Christmas and we became easy to play against.

He does it enough times for us to say "that is his level".

Big games, big chances. Any half decent striker would not miss like that at such crucial points in games.

    Why?
Lots if reasons. But the coupe de grace is that his WAG is not at it- because he doesn't score much from open play. 7 compared to giroud's 6 this year.

So? His conversion rate is higher than Giroud's & that's what we need. Someone to convert chances. Leicester don't make as many chances as Arsenal do, and Vardy doesn't bottle as many chances as Giroud does

Also, if we don't go for him who would you want??

Wow, hosts France are 3-0 up against Scotland. All three scored by Arsenal players. Seems as though Super OG is only such when he knows he has serious competition for his place

If his name was James Vardei top scorer from La Liga signed for £40m people would be saying it is an inspirational signing. But since he is English and rose to prominence at a later age people are not seeing it as a glamorous enough signing.
Vardy would need to get 40+ goals without playing for one of the top three sides in a far superior league to the PL to get the golden boot, whilst outscoring Messi, Ronaldo and Suarez. If he managed that people would be rightfully lauding him a lot higher than they do now, if that were the case: it isn't.

Secondly, Vardy wouldn't be able to get 24 goals in La Liga because relying solely on pace, work rate and some finishing ability isn't enough to get him goals there.

A bit of straw man here

Vardy does miss a lot of chances tbf. Vardy's are more clear cut however, as they are usually when he's through on goal.

Aubameyang could be bought and he would basically be a better version of Vardy. Higuain could be feasible and if Madrid get Lewandowski, Benzema could be on the market.

Aubameyang would be ideal tbh, but I don't see it happening. The ideal situation would be to get Morata too, for the future.. but again, it probably won't happen.

Benzema and Higuain are both like 28/29, and we have no idea how they'll be in the PL.

Dirtybit Rk2k14, reason why Arsenal fans are so excited is not because we think we're signing a world class striker, its because we're going to have someone who has a conversion rate higher than Giroud, Welbeck and ****ing Sanogo.

We haven't had a 20+ goal striker since RVP and we've created more clear cut chances since his last season with us.. its been so frustrating, which is why anyone who's even slightly better is an upgrade

If you give Dortmund £45m and offer double his wages, it'll give both parties food for thought. Benzema and Higuain have scored f*ck loads of goals in La Liga and will both be around for the next few years, so will do well for years to come.

As for not having a 20+ goal striker, Giroud has surpassed that tally twice including this season.

Reckon Wenger will gamble on Gabriel next season, he might turn out to be excellent once he sorts his communication problems out. He might turn out to be rubbish.
