Similar thing here, except I was much younger than that and it was this guy
I do absolutely adore The Smiths, but Morrissey is such a monumental ****head though, probably the best song-writer since Dylan, but he's such an arse
I was far more into my punk/post punk in my youth so it was the likes of anti flag et al for me
For a lot of folks north of the border, the mere sight of Labour sharing a stage with the Tories is sickening and drove them to the SNP in the first place. Thing is, if Labour run their own separate campaign, it'll get nowhere near the coverage of Cameron's one. I can't see any way for Labour to win in this situation.
No problem, it really really hit home for me. The idea described is often tricky to put into words but I think it is at the heart of what a lot of us here base our politics on.
"The myth of the self-made man, has to be profoundly hypocritical: it is the self-serving demonstration that a lie is the truth."
For shame. One of the best punk albums ever - California Uber Alles and Holiday in Cambodia in particular...
They're ok, got a great deal of respect for them for their work in pushing the DIY labels but I've never really been able to get into their albums like the Kennedys, SLF or Bad Religion. Star ****ing Hipsters are good mind, as are Leftover Crack. Stza is great and insane in equal measures.
