French: Went well, lost a few marks but hopefully near full UMS (I'll work it out myself). I finished in an hour as opposed to the 2.5 given.

Chemistry: Easy, I thought. Did it in half the time, and I think I've got above 52/60

Nice! I have mocks in February and I only have 4

Media: Shouldn't be too hard aiming for an A
Applied Science: haven't started learning the content so aiming for a C
History: Should be OK but very, very worried :O want an A in unit 1 and a B (optimistic) in unit 2.

How would y'all address an email inquiring about work experience if you only the first name of the person you're writing to, and had no way of finding out their surname? 'To Sarah' sounds so unprofessional in my eyes

I'm hoping to work at a diagnostic laboratory for a week

    Where'd you find the name?

'Hi Sarah' can sound friendly, but act professional throughout the rest.

    Dear sir/madam?
I was gonna go with that but it sounds a bit impersonal? I'll probably just use that, trust me to write the whole email in one sitting and then stress about the first line

I phoned up to ask if they took work experience, and they told me who to write to and her email address. I could phone up again, but it would be a bit creepy to ring purely to find out someone's name

Have you got a website for them?

    To whom it may concern?

    Hmmmm, anything particular in physics?
Little tiny mistakes that make your grade drop to a C level- I'm hasty and I either overlook or overuse details...

Put it this way I'm the type of person who at first didn't know how f'x and dy/dx meant the same thing when differentiating yet I know how to differentiate perfectly fine. Kinda giving people the right to insult my intelligence there :unimpressed:

sorry for the late reply by the way

They do, but it doesn't list the staff unfortunately.
