# Edexcel FP3 June 2015 - Official Thread watch

1. I could get 69 or 66. Hipefully 68/67 is 100 so 2 marks lower then last yr!

2. What did pple get fro perp distance in vectors quest?

Normalised eigenvectors if anyone's curious

For 2-√2, it was (0.5, -1/√2, 0.5)
For 2, it was (1/√2, 0, -1/√2)
For 2+√2, it was (0.5, 1/√2, 0.5)

Correct! But why they only give 5 marks(normally 9 for whole or 6+6)

I did this as well, I got y=-4mx , what did you get?

Posted from TSR Mobile
Most people got Y=(-1/4m)X, includin
5. So, where's the 'Hitler Reacts' video then...?
6. (Original post by physicsmaths)
**** i think i forgot to times by 1/2

You were right about doing the harder exam first
Flopped FP3 I think (hopefully a* still safe)
Well if everything I did is right I'll get 68/75 plus method
But I didn't check anything so it's probably a lot lot lower

1/sqrt(10) I think, can't really remember

I made a mistake in my algebra. I've tried again now and got the right answer. Hopefully I get 2/6 for getting a quadratic and solving for x

I think i got it right, as everyone else got 1....
95 ish ums for getting around 65-69 ? Not bad as i learnt half of the module yesterday !

1/root10.

For 8c how many marks for just writing y=-1/m * x after doing some working (out I found 2 general points and the gradient between them using factor formulae) ? I just looked at the line and did it by inspection, I was close! only a factor of 4 out
16. Damnnit, got -1/2m at the end. Who knows where it went wrong. Probably looking at low 60s

Wait... I don't think even Hitler can react to this. He must be speechless. I certainly am.
20. From the modules FP1-3, S2, M2-3 and D1 (7 in total), which do I need 90% average for A* overall?
