What would the question on it look like/how would it be asked, thanks
They can ask it in different ways. They might ask the differences/similarities between the views each strands holds about the state or if liberalism is defined by the aim to reduce/increase the role of the state.

Can someone explain why neo liberalism came about please?

What do you want to know exactly?

Neoliberalism came from the desire of
Thatcher and the New Right to adopt a laissez-faire atomisic approach to the economy. She was influenced by Hayek, and in a similar way, Ragean was influenced by Milton Friedman.

Do you anything about what type of economy existed before neo liberalism?

Could there be a 15 marker on utilitarianism? How would it be worded if so?

It was rooted in classical liberalism remember. You can, but context for new right is usually authoritarian reaction due to social openness in 60s

    They'd elude to positive freedom.

    Doubt it,
    But if so:

Jeremy Bentham - Principle of utility. Goodness for the greater number. Hedonic calculus

John Mill - Distinguished between pleasures. Higher / lower. Socrates
    Dissatisfied than pig satisfied.

Therefore positive freedom, state intervention, T.H Green, Keynesian economics

The possibility of both anarchism and conservatism turning up as 45 markers? :holmes: If liberalism, socialism and a difficult variation of anarchism/conservatism come up that's goodbye to my A-level.
