I imagine it'll be members only initially with general sale a few days later, hope they don't put a 'must have attended X number of previous FA Cup home games' restriction on it (don't think they will, there's only Oldham from last year).

    Anyway, back to football.

Gerrard's set pieces have never been the issue. He's still done his duty and should go imo. All this knee-jerk reaction calling for him to stay is over the top.

Markovic completed 91% of his passes tonight, but Lambert only mustered a single shot.

Gerrard is still done in a 2 CM/DM formation anyway he only does well in 3 CM formations. I think Can will play at CM when Gerrard leaves.

    couldn't agree more.
granted he had a great game, but this was against bloody league 2 opposition.
if he played man city and tore them apart, fair enough but you can't claim the club are wrong to let him go after seeing him MOTM a single FA cup game...

people seem to be ignoring how well we played against swansea while he was out.

    Precisely.
Gerrard can be excellent if played in an attacking role, however it's unlikely he'd be effective for a full game.
if the player didn't want to be taken off early/brought on as a sub regularly then the logical option is to part ways.

yeah i don't like Can at CB.
he gets bullied a bit and i don't think he's cut out for it.
he has great awareness and can pass a ball so when he can manage full games, he'll be an excellent CM.

markovic was very bright in that game.
if he could just improve his end product, he would be a devastating player.
with lallana out, this is his time to fight for a place.

lambert was disappointing although i suppose you can't expect too much from a 32 year old 4m striker.
granted he didn't really get much supplied to him, however maybe that was because he had poor movement and he was unusually dominated by the opponent CBs.
had he put that chance away, people wouldn't be saying anything though.

coutinho was awful in the first half but completely turned it around as the opponents got tired.
mignolet did his typical inconsistency of doing a few great saves but also his usual howler.
sakho and skrtel were actually were pretty dominant for most of the game, the latter being significantly better on the ball than i've seen of him in the past.
