Anyway, don't y'all think it's crazy that they didn't handle the situation the way it should have been handled if they suspected a bomb threat:
but as has been details they didn't think it was a bomb. They were going to charge him with creating a 'hoax threat'

Come on Bee at least argue with the facts

But first they did think it was a bomb to begin with?! Otherwise they wouldn't have made such a big deal out of it

How do you know this as a fact Bee?

The police are quite clear for the reason he was detained and have detailed fully the charges they were going to bring if they deemed it necessary to do so.

But FYI hoax bomb threats don't even need a hoax bomb but are taken VERY seriously

LOL. There's already a thread about this.

Why is it disgusting that it was mistaken for a bomb?

USA doesn't mess around with security. That is common knowledge.

Once they suspect something could be a threat, they act accordingly.

Even if it is something as small as a pencil case or in this case, a handmade clock, they act accordingly.

    Are they paranoid? Perhaps

Would they rather be paranoid than have parents mourning the lives of their children? Definitely
My Dear friend, these people are just trying to spread bad name for the Muslims. Be honest with me, if an ordinary non-Muslim boy made a home-made clock, would they have arrested him? i don't think so. This is called unfairness, inequality .... #IStandWithAhmad

Shhh facts don't matter with people like her. It's far easier to keep foaming at the mouth while you spray misinformation and scream oppression.

Good thing there are still a few left leaning figures like Bill Maher and Dawkins who aren't completely asinine and don't refuse to say anything for fear of offensiveness.

Yes, they would. White Christians have been arrested for even less than that.

Why was there no bomb squad brought in to check on the device. Why were the teachers and principle allowed to do their own thing?! Why wasn't he allowed to call his parents?!

More information about the case was released as time went on. That is how all these news reports work. They take what little information they have then try and fill in what they assume to be the blanks.

    "Teen arrested for hoax bomb"

I'm not twisting any words, in fact how about you hear them from Ahmed.

So yes has was being charged for making a hoax bomb.
Lol are you kidding me? You're so desperate to demonise this boy that you will use anything as a backup to your erroneous claims. I already know he is speaking on the issue after everything happened, so people say "hoax bomb"

to highlight the point that it was a fake.

Not to justify that they knew it wasn't a bomb all along. Which is what you're doing, and it's sick. That makes it even more of a ridiculous reason to arrest him.

And it also makes this whole conversation stupid. If in the US you get arrested for making hoax bombs, then it has nothing to do with his skin colour or being Muslim. It has everything to do with a felony.

That's what you want me to say, isn't it?

Well it would work if he actually were arrested for that. He was arrested because his stupid teachers wanted to make a brouhaha out of nothing and they wanted to make this boy miserable. All they did was annoyingly make him some kind of hero. The only reason I ever support Muslims when I ever do is because of people like you.

Because they didn't think it was a bomb they thought he was going to use it as part of a hoax

But that not what I asked Bee

you said and I quote 'But first they did think it was a bomb to begin with' now you seem to acknowledged this isn't the case as they didn't bring in the bomb squad

    So again

you said 'But first they did think it was a bomb to begin with' and I ask again why do you think this is the case

    2) they didn't they followed the school rules and reported the suspicious behavior

    3) don't know. Do you?

And here comes someone asking, "examples?"

And here you go rushing to find the first google link you can to conveniently support what otherwise would be some knee jerk b.s. you pulled out your arse like a tapeworm

Do you think if it was a hoax bomb he would've gotten into so much trouble over it? I don't think so. They clearly thought it was a bomb but I'm surprised nobody called in the bomb squad. The teacher is not a bomb specialist

Yes making hoax bomb threats is taken very seriously Bee

But you've now gone to falling back on your opinion as it seems the facts don't up your posts

Again I ask how do you know they clearly though it was a bomb?

Because they made. Huge deal out of an innocent situation. Look at the video of the little boy,he'll explain to you how the teacher thought it was a bomb but it was only later on that they charged him for making a hoax bomb

Thank god action was taken considering the threat ISIS pose on the world, well done to the authorities. Safety of locals is paramount and must always be addressed.
haha weren't you trying to convince me that you/UKIP weren't racist just a few days ago? you should check out the stuff that comes from ISIS (which are funded by the US and probably the UK too btw) - some really creative executions filmed with top-tier cameras and edited by top-tier guys. guarantee you they won't send a 14 year old with a clock to blow up a school, wayyyy too amateur.

you expect white americans with mental disorders to be running around killing peers not this ahmed dude. if you were trolling fair enough, good one - but if you actually believe the stuff you write you need to head back to the pub lol

So even with the facts in front of you, you are still going for the victim card.

Creating a hoax bomb in order to cause alarm or distress is a felony and that was what the police were investigating.

It is also a criminal act here is the UK under section 51 of the Criminal Law Act.

    http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1977/45/section/51

You are blaming his teachers now? Your argument is getting even more ridiculous. Look at the facts, not your emotions.

Are you still around lol, your last thread was an absolute joke.

Clearly it is racist for me to suspect anyone when ISIS have released footage of kids carrying out terror attacks, beheadings, everything you can think of. It is all over the news.

You far left radicals are slowly losing your grip on society so good luck.
