Thought it wasn't too bad, but I ran out of time had a few minutes to go back and scribble some answers to some of the essay type questions. Did anyone else get 1/81 for the ratio in the capacitance question?

I thought the essay and explain questions were great, hope I got most marks for them. But some of the calculations were a bit dodgy.

The electrostatic charge bob thingy got me really confused... And I couldn't remember how the graphs were meant to look like...

Besides that it was alright :/

Not a bad paper. Slight mistake on OCRs part on the seperation of the plates with the electron going through. Distance changed from 0.05cm to 0.05m

I got 15. I doubt it would be 70 though it looked a bit smaller than that.

Same, I ran out of time too. I think I got 3 for the ratio...

I failed to twist my left hand and did the fleming's left hand rule question wrong.
I wrote downwards instead of upwards and so as the force on the balance.

I think it is upwards. And the weight on the balance should be 2.5N minus what ever force you have got.

I'm very confident after that exam. Not sure about question 2 though because I just left the p.d. as 6 which I know is wrong. Hopfully there are ecf mars available there.
Also, I loved that mistake. Very funny OCR. Nice to see you care about this exam as much as me.

The force on the magnets was upwards and the force on the wire was downwards.

you're meant to use the right hand rule, the force was upwards.
