So Nottingham gave me a lower offer of AAA to study law, actually ended up getting AAC and they still let me in!
    Well done!

I dont know my grades yet, on my way to get them, but in UCAS track my firm choice offered me Foundation year, something that I will not do. What shall I do? Once i get my results i will be emailing them and calling them.

    Thanks PQ,

But it looks like Equivalency Testing only offers Maths and English? I've already got Maths and English GCSEs and got B & C, maybe because I did BTEC equivalent to GCSEs for the rest (though got Distinctions).
I'd definitely suggest ringing them up this afternoon and asking to speak to someone senior - it's very unusual to reject a transfer because of GCSE grades (especially if you've got Eng/Maths at C+ and BTEC equivalents)...it could be that someone somewhere has messed up because they don't understand BTECs.

Thanks to you and the others for the cheery words.
I'm actually in a bit of a confusing situation right now.

I just got that place at Westminster (through adjustment), but also phoned up Goldsmiths... and somehow got a place there too! Except the guy I was with messed up, and right at the end I learned he'd done this entire thing through Clearing. He was eager to finish up (I was in a special situation, and was his first ever call), so he ended before I could explain that I wanted it through adjustment.

So, I have two questions: I'm already registered for adjustment, can i then cancel that and my current offer to go through Clearing to accept Goldsmiths? Second question: If yes, should I?Thanks a lot!
I think because you've registered your choice on adjustment as Westminister that you won't be able to cancel it for Goldsmith's offer in clearing.

After 3pm you'll have the option on track to reject that option and you'll be passed on to your insurance.

If you want to do this before 3pm then you can do it over the phone with UCAS

    It wont appear until 3pm.

Call universities and get informal offers then add your favourite on track at 3 or later.

It's worth a phone call - I'd recommend getting a dead cert or two offers before ringing the riskier ones but universities like Sussex, Essex, Reading are excellent universities that for some reason just don't have the clout/attraction of the bigger russell groups.
There was also Aston, Glasgow and Goldsmiths if you're up for a slightly bigger city.

I don't know as much about A&F but unlike compsci they're less restricted by lab space for teaching capacity so there's even more chance of a place if a university is looking to fill up

There's a button appears on Track if you get accepted onto your firm. If you hit it then you're in adjustment and can contact other universities....if you either don't call or don't take up a place elsewhere then it times out after 5 days

It does congratulate you - UCAS consider any place a good place
Well luckily I got into Exeter with BBB instead of ABB, probably because the B which was meant to be an A was in Economics wasn't relative, spent 3 hours researching other universities for nothing I guess!

Hey guys I've been accepted on UCAS Track but haven't heard anything from the University themselves, anyone know how long before they email or should I try to phone them?
Congratulations! If you have been accepted on Track then don't worry, you're in.
If you haven't heard anything by tomorrow, drop them a call just to confirm. Which uni are you off to?

Don't worry too much for now.

    Keep ringing.

If Goldsmiths is still your favourite option this afternoon and you want to take up the place there then ring up again, ask to speak to someone senior and explain that you were made a clearing offer but are actually in adjustment so you need them to take your application out of adjustment so you can take up the offer.

You can't add a clearing choice until 3pm. You need to have a verbal offer or a provisional offer in general from the university before adding them in clearing.
