OCR are worst for mark schemes, they just seem to slip random bits in, it's like it for chem too! Hi guys btw, just found this, to think we could be fighting for the same place next year!
Edexcel is just as bad with the mark schemes .... 😢😢😢

what is this kings college K+? well, all the ones ive applied for are closed (durham insight, smf residentials, cusu ss, st us programme) except the st summer schools and oxford UNIq

ahhh, I think we were OCR too? we did the abortion part of the medical ethics paper thing 50% of mark, and then the philosophy and ethics questions (on the options form the school called it philosophy and ethics, when it was really just religious studies with the philosophy and ethics questions x.x) I don't remember the course that much tbf, it was self taught and two years ago xP
Ah Kings College K+ is basically just a mentoring scheme, you get to go on cultural visits and attend lectures in your chosen field.. I do law. ah, i've applied for the smf app! I don't think i'll apply for Oxford- visited the place last Thursday and i really didn't like it...

Oh wow! Congrats on the self-teaching though that does tend to be the norm on here haha

We've done unit 2 pretty much just a few bits left. The organic chemistry stuff is alright but energy and resources I find a bit dreary
    Why working backwards?

3 different teachers so one for Unit 1 then Unit 2 split between the other 2 so everything was taught alongside the other stuff

    Its an easy A tbh.

:nah: I'd get you up to my level!

    Tips...

    Take your time
C1 do not make arithmetic mistakes!
Make sure you know your concepts
When I tried a C1 paper I made so many arithmetic mistakes. I think I'll write down EVERY single step for all the calculations, then I might actually use some of the time they give us to do the paper

 yeah, half hour I take on maths papers. Although lately I've been taking my time (like yesterday C3 took me a while) and hopefully I'll be securing 100%s.

Write down all steps, like say you have.

    [ (4)(2)^3 - (2)(4)(1)^3 + (-2)^3(2) ] / (4)(1)^3 + (2)^2(4)

Or whatever work it out, then add up! Not all in one.

haha same! though I think going through at normal speed, and then going back over re-doing completely slowly maybe better still have time left at end though! x)

Leave for school in like 20 mins

I can't do that, because once I've done it, i believe it is right, I cant change it because I can't see the mistakes !

Me too! I'm pretty sure they haven't made any decisions yet about the applications, the video interview email was probably sent out to everyone.

 Have you managed to get clinical work experience?
Yes! Just secured a one week paediatric and one week varied placement, I have a day in pharmacy on the 18 th and have an interview for a care home tomorrow! I emailed nearly 50 places in the end! Just keep trying! What about you?! Have you looked at Newcastle they have no gcse requirements and they're really good! How are you as levels going? What are you doing?! How's the experience going?
