Your PS will have been reread before making the changed course offer.
What do you think the best way for me to approach this? I want to first send an email, then call, but I want to talk to a person who read the email.

Tempted to resit one module to bump it up?

    Don't stop at one offer.

You should be trying to get between 3 and 10 clearing offers before picking your favourite.

You can refer yourself on track after 3pm

It's incredibly unlikely you drop a whole grade but it's your choice
TBH it's like I'm sad that I only missed by 1 mark (2 UMS) but I'm so incredibly happy that I don't care enough for a remark or resit right now!

    Yo guys,
I received my clearing offer in little under an hour after i called (gg me)

Anyone know when the big ol' "Add Clearing choice" button appears? I don't see one yet.

Sighh I'm scared to release myself
You'll have to overcome that fear, everything worth trying in life has some sort of risk attached to it.

Still haven't looked at what I got for AS. Too scared to log in to the school intranet. I know I got an A in English, but no idea about the others. 😬😬😬

I got a B but I needed an A. The uni haven't made up their mind yet and when they called they said it can take a week so I'm just really hoping that they let me in since I only dropped one grade, that being said, it is Medicine though, so we'll see..
A week seems incredibly cruel, have you considered whether you'd be happier taking a gap year?

What course are you going for? How were your grades?

Manchester is an excellent choice. I think you get confirmed on Track. They may contact you later on with the congratulations message.

Hiya, I really need some help with AS grades xD any advice would be really appreciated!!

I had a really tough year for personal reasons, so I only took 2 AS 's -

    Maths - D
    Music - A

I'm planning on retaking maths, and i'm doing the linear English A Level. I got 11 A*'s at GCSE and I've always been told I could make it to Oxbridge and that's the dream, but apparently you have to declare your old AS grade even if you retake a subject? I might apply for PPE at Oxford (yep idealistic I know) and i'm worried that the old 'D' grade will affect my chances of getting in or even getting an interview. Please help! Will they care, if I get an A when I retake? i've literally always been the ultimate nerd really dedicated to studying and i had one bad year and this happens :'( :'( :'(

    hope y'all did well! x

Edit: I'm taking a gap year so i'm not applying to university until i have all my final A Level results, if that makes any difference

Appreciate the advice, however funny story. The uni i got the clearing offer from was going to be my original firm choice, however they rejected me after the interview, so i firmed another uni.

Couple months ago i had a change of mind and decided i wanted to do chemistry, which is what i applied and got the offer for just now. So actually this is basically my golden opportunity, it was one hell of a gamble relying on clearing but it worked. Im happy.

A week seems incredibly cruel, have you considered whether you'd be happier taking a gap year?
I have called some places in Clearing for another course (neuroscience) and I told them my situation. Southampton said they were happy to take me but obviously I need to wait for my firm to make a choice now.

I'm thinking of waiting it out and maybe taking a gap year, it's not my preferred route choice but I guess the fact that they are even considering me gives me some hope..
