Yes, my HP is a 4-cell and I don't know why they did that! A 6-cell would have provided much better battery life, and a 9 cell even more so...

Looks like you're going to need a new battery, though I'd recommend you get a 9-cell, instead of a 6-cell - thus, you'd get the maximum battery life possible. :smile:

The Acer Aspire is on a 9-cell and has been used for about a year or so, and hence the battery life has dropped considerably... However, if and when the Acer battery goes kaput, that is it - it will not be getting any replacements!
