With Alexis and Ozil gone we've been scrapping for the top. After they're gone this short era will be finished and we'll be scrapping for Europa.
If I were an Arsenal fan i'd be desperate to finish 5th/6th, as it's the only way things will ever change at the club. Look at United and Chelsea - they underachieve for a season and completely overhaul the club from top to bottom.

Arsenal seasons right now are so predictable and it's laughable. It's time for them to change, and that includes waving bye to Wenger when his contract is up at the end of the season.

That doesn't necessarily result in success. You've overhauled the club and spent half a billion ìn the last 2 years alone yet still finished below us for 3 seasons in a row.

I swear Mourinho will go full Trump mode in his press conference v Arsenal, with quotes like:
    "Never. He's never beaten me."
    (Community Shield-)
    "That's not a serious competition."
    ---
    "Why is he still there?"
    ---
"He embodies a football club that is getting stale."
    ---
"It's clear he's been saving for his retirement. For ten years."
    ---
"No one else lasts that long in a football club without challenging for the league."
    ---
"Ronnie McFail. Took him 14 years since he last won the league... to make the right decision."
"Arsene... May 2017 is his destiny."

and yet their reserve team beat us 3-2 and the next greatest English goalscorer was born.

Reus is the player that you just want on your team, whether there's a need for him or not

One of my favourite players, it's a shame he's so injury prone

Also a shame that our transfer policy is a shithole

Arsenal seasons aren't predictable given that they finished 4th, 3rd and 2nd in the last three seasons. Man Utd's overhaul failed. Man City's overhaul in 14/15 failed too. Where's the guarantee that Wenger's successor does better? In fact I'm not sure there's anyone better than Wenger who'd take the job. Unless Simeone was desperate to coach in England, that is.

Mustafi liked Xhaka's picture on IG.
Multiple reputable French journos claiming Mahrez deal is being negotiated.

    Madness is happening.

I don't know this Tom Gotze guy, he sounds like a right queer.

Failing to mount a serious title challenge but still coming top 4, that's predictable. There's really not much difference between 2nd, 3rd and 4th, it's like arguing a team who comes between 10th and 12th every year isn't predictable just because they're not in the exact same position.

There's a lot of difference between finishing 10th or 12th, and 2nd and 4th, you can easily finish 3 or 4 places higher at the end of the season with 3 points if you're in the middle of the table, not so much at the top...

Yeah bruh, just like there's no difference between finishing 7th or 10th; if you finish in those positions consistently for 5 years your team is mediocre either way

Madness is happening. Mustafi nearly a wrap. Mahrez following Sanogo on Twitter (and setting his location to London) and multiple French Journos/L'Equipe adamant he is on the verge of joining the Gooner squad.

Fwiw, Mustafi like a picture of Xhaka's yesterday on IG and since then news has moved on very quickly to how the the deal is nearly done.

    ARSENALLLL.
