# Edexcel FP3 June 2015 - Official Thread watch

Well I just assumed my A/B general points for the chord where such that the gradient would be -ve, so m<0 and if locus of midpoints, the gradient needs to be positive, so y=(-1/4m)x makes sense - in this sense

Does that make sense?
Yh it makes sense :/ well, ****. I need to see the question again T_T
2. june 2014 was not even that hard, only maybe question 6 that was kiind of new, but it's still managable , and maybe the trick in the reduction question, and an A was 55

this paper had a lot more new stuff and potential to loose more marks, idk if i am just kidding myself here, but do you think 80 ums can go below 55??

I agree. I really do hope it goes way below that...

That must have felt so good when you got those 'normal' eigenvalues but unfortunately it was the weird surds
yeah, i wish i didn't cross it out tho, would've still been marked, but at least i'll get follow through though

Lol so do I! And I don't think arsey does FP3 - we need to get the paper aha
7. (Original post by chemlover12)
Wth. Werent the eigen values 1, 2, 3.
No! They were 2, 2+sqrt(2) and 2-sqrt(2)

10. this paper made me feel like im crap at maths lol even tho my prev fp3 papers have all been decent, the only thing saving me is s2
11. (Original post by chemlover12)
Omg no f***ing way!! Nooo!
Did you not check that PDP(-1) was equal to A to check?
12. (Original post by chemlover12)
I will be able to get it tomorrow lol
Someone might get it up at some other point !
13. (Original post by chemlover12)
Wth. Werent the eigen values 1, 2, 3.
No. 2 and 2+/-root2
14. (Original post by cogito.)
Correct! But why they only give 5 marks(normally 9 for whole or 6+6)
why is there a minus for the 2 one
15. (Original post by chemlover12)
Wth. Werent the eigen values 1, 2, 3.
Ya i got 1 , 2 and 3
16. (Original post by Chazatthekeys)

Did you guys apply the + - + rule?
17. (Original post by HashiramaSenju)
Hey guys anyone did IAL f3,?
18. (Original post by Chazatthekeys)
Someone might get it up at some other point !
If no one puts it up today, I will try to put it up for tomorrow.
19. Literally the worst exam experience ever lol, i cant believe i flopped the paper so badly for some reason i also got 1,2,3 as the eigenvalues and couldnt even do the stupid last question and messed up on part b for the reduction formulae so maybe only got maximum 52 ish marks, hopefully I will get at least a B for this paper but thats not too bad I just need an A overall for Further Maths.
20. (Original post by Elcor)
No. 2 and 2+/-root2
Yh i spent 30 minutes on this quest hinking i had gone wrong. If i moved on at first i couldve finished the last 6 marker 😂
