**** life if Rooney is playing in holding midfield for England. Tbf maybe he realises he's probably the 4th best striker that is playing in the euros. Or maybe he realises that he's finished as a player.

Either way England out before QFs.

In fact I read the whole article and Hodgson planned using him left wing in a 4-3-3. I genuinely don't know what's worse considering what happened last time Rooney played left wing for England.
Greatest assist in World Cup history

Rooney has actually been playing fairly decent in the midfield role for United over the recent weeks, so it's no shock surprise that he might be looking for a similar role given the competition up front.
Lol get out. Better than Herrera and Schneiderlin does not equal fairly decent.

Rooney is a **** midfielder.
Range of passing= ping the ball to Valencia.

Some fans need to accept he's passed it.

Apparently we've offered Zlatan a 1yr contract with an option to extend.

Why aren't appearances included in that table?

Seems a little suspect to me...

You mad because no Origi

Do you ask for appearances when they talk about the most goals in the PL or between Messi & Ronaldo

Apparently we were also supposed to sign Felipe Anderson and Renato Sanches too.

This Ibrahimovic news might just be another one of those.

Except the chances of Ibra joining aren't that far fetched.

Anderson was just rumours from his agent trying to hype up his player who's been pretty **** tbh.

Sanches was hyped by SS who also said we were about to sign Benatia and strongly linked to Otamendi.

Nah I'm just saying goals per minute would be interesting given that I believe Iheanacho is quite prolific in that respect.

Not to mention the fact that both Alli and Sterling aren't strikers yet are being judged purely on goals.

Martial has over triple the amount of minutes played than Iheanacho.

It's all about the net conversion.

Iheanacho gets service and still misses a lot of them

Rooney's worried about losing his place hence the 'let me play as a holding midfielder' narrative. He'll make the odd Hollywood pass out wide and it'll be 'he's a brilliant midfielder!'. There are many nuances to playing that role and it won't be long before he gets caught out and it'll be 'I want to play as a striker!'. Good for Rashford to get some experience with the squad but would rather he have a summer off.

Ibrahimovic rumours are not far-fetched at all. He's available, no transfer fee, brings an element of shirt sales that would be boosted and frankly, he's show Lingard a lesson if he fancies acting a like a 13-year-old calling out for his 'mommy' when the bus gets attacked next. But if he comes then definite the end of LVG.
