Yep, AQA- there isn't a proper textbook, so they put a PDF one on their website

Is there anyone doing English Language A-Level and know of any decent ways of revising? I find it so hard because it's not by topics, I just don't know where to start

Think Lucy is the only one doing English.

Whoever does Edexcel Biology here, I just want you to know how much i despise it now. I love the content but hate the way we're taught.
I mean learning about forensics is meant to be fun but instead I'm sleeping through half of the lesson. HELP!

Do you guys think Sheffield and/or Nottingham would consider me through UCAS extra for chemistry?

I'd say so, I can't see why not? You'd be an excellent applicant for a start. Are you just thinking of other options due to your current feelings towards medicine or are you seriously considering it?

I'm just a bit worried because January is the end of normal applications and they may give out all their offers for those applicants. Thank you though, I've emailed them, so hopefully they get back to me soon
I am seriously considering it, I really don't think I actually want to do medicine

I suppose it's hard to tell, but I'm sure there's a chance they won't have! Just got to try and hope for the best. Aw good idea oh fair enough, well it's better you realise that now rather than later! I really hope it works out for you

Yep, same here. Slept through most of the lessons during the course cause the lesson just drags on with information, information and more information.
The lessons are becoming a struggle to keep focus. Forensics was interesting though... One of the lessons where it didn't become boring. I lost it totally when learning about the immune response. Didn't get anything about what was going on.
Also another thing I hate is the very large content....many stuff to learn... It sometimes becomes too inexact and the long descriptions are totally boring . And worst of all after learning so much all we get at the exam is to describe graphs and trends and everything that doesn't involve much bio knowledge... It's doesn't make sense to learn so much when only about 50% of the paper tests what we've learnt. The rest being all "suggest" questions where we aren't supposed to have known the answer but use our knowledge to arrive at it, and the comment on the data questions.
I thought learning bio would be fun.

I'm doing English Language AQA A (unfortunately) and I just make my own topics, for example, for the exam unit, I've lumped everything into two main topics - Modern Day Variation and Historical Language Change.
From then on I've just made everything we've studied into topics ie, Language Change Theories, Early Modern English...
It's boring and I hate it but hey, you'll get there in the end! (Dream of summer!)

    Nottingham Chem :moon:

It'd be a bit of a risk if you get med offers considering you'd applied there as well

I think I'm falling in love all over again haha. I can't decide between the two, but I never applied to Nottingham for medicine
