Bit random but I've just realised that one of the definitions in OP is slightly off, Allahu musta'an means "Allah is the One whose Help is sought" not "Allah only we follow".

On that note, a nice article about the meaning of the phrase and the virtues of isti'anah in general: http://salaf-us-saalih.com/2011/04/1...m-allah-alone/

Time to bring back the topic.

Characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) are same as those of an ideal Muslim... not limited to:
1. He is truthful.
2. He does not cheat, deceive or stab in the back
3. He is tolerant and forgiving
4. He has a sense of humour
5. He does not falsely accuse anyone of Fisq (sin) or Kufr (disbelief)
6. He is wise and eloquent in his da'awah
7. He is not a hypocrite
8. He visits the sick
9. He mixes with people and puts up with their insults
10. He tries to make people happy

Imam Bukhari names one his chapters in his Saheeh:
Knowledge proceeds speech and action.
The proof for this is the statement of Allah:
فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْبِكَ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِين َ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مُتَقَلَّبَكُمْ وَمَثْوَاكُمْ
So know, that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women. And Allah knows of your movement and your resting place.
Knowledge is mentioned before statement and action in this ayat.
How many of us gain knowledge before we do any act? Or is it rather we act without having the correct knowledge.
I advise us all to take portions of a our day to gain knowledge - so that we can act upon it and to refute any shubuhaat that may come our way.
