I feel you bro I feel you :emo: :cry2:

I don't know how spectacular the college I want to go to (a phrase which is getting increasingly tedious to type ) is on trips and stuff...they don't mention anything in the prospectus...I'll ask at the open day :awesome: I know that one non-school-attatched sixth form college does some trips for MFL, don't know about science though...

Our school used to do many history trips shame they stopped! I'd have loved to test my German /which I need to learn/

Aaah, I should pressure them into it but I'd rather the option if Further Maths!

Well yes, but "dich" is an accusative pronoun meaning "you" so it's "I must still teach you German".

You get to go as well?

Our college nearby has the trip annually for A2 students so hopefully CERN discovers something new (perhaps SUSY?) within two years!

(Note we're not allowed INTO the LHC complex. )

So asides from the money generated by selling stuff to rich companies (OK come on, a 'little' share of the profits for myself wont hurt anyone...), ALL profits from the gift shop are given to the employees or an upgrade fund. Sounds like an excellent plan indeed.
Aww noo :'( We better be allowed to see some stuff at least, I wonder what we'll do there. I will need a lot of gift shop money, I doubt I'll ever be going back so I need all the memories I can get from it

Here's the possible itineraries available when we visit. Notably, none of the 'Big 6' experiments themselves are listed as they're all underground in the LHC. Instead, ATLAs has a visitor centre and they have some exhibitions available as well.

Looking forward to potential workshops and speeches (Learning Particle Physics from some of the world's best scientists? Epic.) more than anything else.

Ooh cool I hope by then I can understand the actual mathematics behind it instead of just pure conceptual information

We definitely need to understand the mathematics before we set off.

Have you seen how difficult it was to built ATLAS?
