It's irrelevant; anyone who voted for a losing candidate in their constituency is now unrepresented in parliament.

In my constituency, the Conservative MP got 56% of the vote, there's literally no way he could have lost, even if everyone who voted otherwise voted for a single party.

Yeah but that wouldn't be the case in every constituency

I'm sure there are only a handful who win an overall majority. I could be wrong however
That second sentence wasn't really super related to the first, just pointing out some fat load of bull**** in my constituency

If only a handful win an overall majority, that just means that even MORE people (percentage-wise) are being disenfranchised in the constituencies where no overall majority is achieved (44% of the population where I am, compared to, say, 60% somewhere else where the winner had the largest share with 40% of the votes).

And even then, I have no idea whether it's uncommon for an overall majority to be won.

Are you aware of the concept of "safe seats" (just another of the horrendous consequences of FPTP voting)?

Well safe seats being parties who will win regardless of who you vote for because of their existing support?

I think that's a huge problem, we just need to be able to vote for a party and then for a PM as well. And the vote for a party needs a different system, not sure on the best one to implement but definitely not the way it is now

Oh what did you get first time round & I am also sitting the FP1 exam simply because I picked AS FMaths as an extra AS in year 12 and I sat D1 & S1 last year. So will be doing FP1 this year. Left all my past papers for FP1 in college so not done any over the weekend. I'm going to need to bash them hard as soon as this week starts
