As in you're very amused? You're rofling?
If you get train tickets in advance, they're often cheap

Aye, the free ones are worth getting. But I rarely see e-books cheaper than I could get treebooks from Amazon :dontknow:
It must depend what you're looking at, because most of the books I want are cheaper on Kindle (and if they're not, I can buy the book version anyway).

But my Kindle was free from TSR, so.

It's sorted. My stuff's in the wallet. The girls parents (who've suddenly gone on holiday) will go to a post office and use my money to get it sent asap by registered post .

I don't know much about the Kobo so can't really help with that decision, but I've had no issues with my Kindle so far. You get your own email address so can email documents straight to your kindle - and if necessary they can convert them - which makes it really easy to add your own files/books. You can store a million and two books on it so can carry loads at once, and you can redownload anything you've deleted for free.

I got the basic model, but the lack of keyboard doesn't bother me. In fact, it makes it smaller and easier to hold. I don't need to type much, if at all - mostly I buy books from my computer, but even if not I only need to type a few words for the author etc.

I love that it has the page-turny buttons on both sides as it means I can do it one handed with either hand :hubba: which is great for if my arthritis is playing up. However, I have heard that some people with arthritis find the buttons difficult.
