Think Arsenal's defending has been decent. Been getting back into shape fairly well. The only thing is that Walcott is really slow at reacting when defending. Allow Riise to get forward.

I'd say they've just defended more solidly than against villa, but the diagonal balls would be hurting them more if taarabt doesn't just try to shoot the second he's on goal also that fulham should have scored but riise passed it in the box when he should have gone for goal and duff missed that shot when sczezcny parried it out poorly(good second save though) a better team and they'd have been punished.

They did get into their passing from defence better near the end of the half and it helped them on the counter well tbf.

Football after such a long time. :dice: :woo: :coma:

Pretty happy with the display so far. Looking shaky so far and I think Walcott in particular has (while looking appropriately dangerous) made a couple of wrong decisions (releasing the ball too late imo and clearly looking at the goal rather than the players around him) we're still looking solid enough. I think it's worth noting that the chances Fulham have had so far have mainly been in front of or amongst the defence rather than behind them: it's likely still more of a midfield issue than one with the defenders we have (though Koscielny would clearly have helped).
A problem has been ramsey this half, he's lost the ball a couple times to kasami and that's been hurting arsenal when fulham started settling. Fulham are able to bypass the midfield but struggle to get in behind the defence(which is better than against villa at least) a holding midfield player is needed badly tbh. Just to sit in the defence and focus on the defensive side of the game so ramsey can play in wilsheres position.

Are there any rules stopping us from bidding for benteke because he signed a new contract?

Cazorla coming deeper to affect the game is working magnificently, he has the composure, flare and skill to keep the ball in deeper positions even when under pressure. Ramsey is also doing fairly well, bar the loss of possession leading to his yellow.

Need to credit the initial control by Giroud for that counter attacking movement. Podolski though :sogood:

yeah I think we must score the least percentage of our corners of any team in the league.

Cazorla. Podolski, Rosicky, Wilshere on the pitch and someone reckons Theo's got the best freekick? Baffled.

Craven Cottage has such a terrible atmosphere man, was there last year and it was just dreadful then too. Doubt I'll meet a Fulham fan in my lifetime after spending my life in London and went to 6th form within walking distance of their ground
