I was hoping the same thing! I haven't come across anyone who does OCR A for the sciences yet

It's horrible...it's basically OCR Salters coursework. It's about 18 hours of labwork and then a 60+ page report.

Hey That's awesome! How are you finding year 12? Are you the rumoured guy who is apparently doing every single qualification under the sun at a given time? (sorry for my randomness, I read that somewhere once)

    that's me

Although I've cut down. It's really boring atm, and too easy... Today's mocks for example. Chem and French, finished in well under half the designated time... Just boring!

I once considered ChemEng but felt it was not pure enough. So chem for me :awesome:

I'm honoured to have been quoted by you :hat2:
Oh boy, seems like we have a genius amongst us...so you don't feel like you're being challenged enough? What A Levels are you taking?

I swear I missed something because I finished French in an hour, instead of the allotted 2.5. But I did listening, two readings and the essay so I can't have missed anything.

Not at all, yet anyway. The three sciences and French (f maths next year instead of biology and French, hopefully self study French A2)

:mmm: it's an awesome degree, lots of physics and Chemistry

Do you do the ultimate combo? Maths. F Maths, physics and chem?

Yup! The planning section of this coursework was longer than the whole of my EPQ No, it's not like an exam, we do the labwork at school, then the write up at home, it counts towards our final mark though. I've done 3 hours already, but that was just preparing solutions/apparatus etc. so I've got no results yet! But hopefully I should be about halfway through it tomorrow :yep: Nah, AS were just a couple of ISA papers. Indeed it does, but still...

Haha It's a kinetics reaction...have you done the iodine clock reaction in your lessons (I think it's part of Thread of Life, maybe Materials Revolution)? It's basically that but with hydrogen peroxide :yep: I'm trying to find the order wrt iodide and hydrogen peroxide and the activation enthalpy with and without a catalyst.

You should be expecting full marks, no? :holmes:
You'll get there, no sweat I see! Sounds like a good combo! If I had the option of taking French at GCSE, I would have Hopefully though, I'll get a chance to learn to speak it after my A2s What's your favourite subject right now?
NO! I wish I did! My school doesn't offer FM at all and I didn't want to risk teaching myself at A2 with the incompetent teachers I have. I'm just doing Maths, Phys and Chem but I did the 3 sciences and Maths last year for AS

Ah right, yeah we have. A lot of people did Iodine Clock but I think only one did with Hydrogen Peroxide. Needless to say they didn't make it sound as cool with... that name That sounds interesting, so will you be using Arrhenius equation then?
