Someone on my facebook list has posted no less than 12 statuses about her new boyfriend in the last 5 days. I'm finding it pretty funny at the mo, she's one of those people who puts her whole life onto facebook, so I'm sure it won't be long til she starts *****ing about single life again. It's like a soap in twitter form

I feel a bit mean for thinking that though. I must be bitter
Hah there's this girl I know who keeps posting whingy statuses about how "being single means doing things alone" and how she misses "him". She cheated on her boyfriend, yet supposedly loved him

It only annoys me if they're all over each other touching all the time, or feel the need to be with them all the time/can't go anywhere without them. I'm in love, but I get questioned about it a lot because I'm very quiet about it.

I haven't changed all that much since I fell in love. Except I'm generally happier.

Maybe you're talking to the wrong people, OP.

Is it just me or do people in love make you feel sick?
No but people who are married after only few months of being together make me feel sick and incredibly, disgustingly jealous.

you're kidding, right?!
They're more than likely the ones destined for a messy divorce. whenever I see people who've got married after such a short time I just wonder what the hell they were thinking!

Only if they feel the need to update me on their love every 5 minutes via facebook.
e.g. "____ loves ____ SO ******* MUCH MWAH MUWAH LOVE YOU BABES XXXOOOXXX OMG LOVE OMG EE"

Other than that my general thoughts are "leave them to it"
It's their life, and it sounds like you're a little jealous of them OP.

It makes me nostalgic.

"It's better to have loved and lost"; my perfectly-formed arse.
I hate that quote... **** off Tennyson!

A little. The ones I feel very pleased for are just those who appear very happy and contented in each other's company; those who have to do everything in public or tell me at great length about the wonders of what is actually a personal aspect of their life never manage to engage my interest.
This.

It's nice to see people genuinely well matched and content together. It's not nice when they act as if they have something to prove. I'm talking about playing their love-life out over facebook etc.

"Love you babeee, can't wait to see you later for lunch, omg I'm on the phone to you right now whilst I'm typing this, lol!"

Coming from someone who is as OP described.... if I see other people i'll scoff and be annoyed at PDA's and constant talking about their bf/gf... but I can't help but doing it myself.

Oh, and the "you hang up" thing? Yeah, it happens

In fairness, it's probably fair. Still very annoying when people quote it at me

yeah they make me feel sick too. they develop a sort of cheesiness which they didn't have before, and it's just so corny, everything from their large puppy eyes to their wide slave-like smile everytime they see their "beloved". it makes me want to barf.
