buy a cookbook and experiment. but knowing myself, i'll just fall back into old ways when i'm lazy - this means a lot of rice, a lot of toast and peanut butter.

For good cheap recipes, try the netmums website. I know it's supposed to be for mums, but they have good, cheap, easy recipes. I just compiled a nice list of recipes off there. It also gives tips on how to save money shopping for food too. Best website i've found, as it doesn't have all the fancy food that other recipe website have.

Cheers for this, just had a look and there seems to be some really nice sounding quick/cheap meals - should be handy

cooking. I love to cook everything. Triniy food Roti, curry chicken and rice, Mexican, Italian and American dishes.
Curry chicken and rice is quick so is spaghetti.
Hey,
are you a trini or do you have trini heritage? I saw trini food like roti and wondered:rolleyes:

Generally, I cook just about anything, from stir fry to curry to lasagna... and order take away ever so often:yep:

I have cooked a LOT of sushi this year.
Oh the irony!

I'll probably be making a lot of what I just did: Tuna mayonaise baguettes for lunch. Around that, probably pasta-based stuff with sauces and meat. To add justice to the fatness of it I'll throw a lettuce leaf on the side.

Haha no, as long as you have the specifically made vinegared rice anything you put that with is sushi :P Raw fish is called "sashimi", it's quite a common sushi filling but by no means necessary, I mean just go to yo-sushi hardly any of their fish is raw :p:

So if I throw some vinegar'd rice over some chopped bacon I'd technically be eating sushi? Nice.
