Ha, it's awful money because I do it with my best friend and neither of us have licenses and thus can't busk anywhere potentially profitable. We just roll up on the local highstreet and go for it! He plays guitar, I sing, and sometimes to make it look like I'm participating more I have a tambourine....

Might look into local pubs though. Generous drunks would be nice!
ohh, I was looking into it at christmas and in Manchester there are certain licensed areas where you can just play as long as you aren't obstructing pathways of as long as you aren't offensive.
I few friends and I were thinking about giving a sax quartet a go and seeing if there was any money to be made for us.

eBay is actually amazing...we're having a house clearout and I've been put in charge of selling everything we don't need, of which I get 60% commission...and so far I've made £500.

Seriously, have a house clearout and sell on eBay!!

Working extra hours in my job. 15-20 hours a week. So I should earn about £570 throughout July and August. If I'd have carried on with my other job I could have earned about £400 from that but then I wouldn't be able to fit everything else in.

I guess the different in potential money to be made between you and me would be that you would have Manchester to play in and I would have...uh, a tiny market town in the South :p:

Although it's a great laugh regardless. I do recommend it!

It does look like a good laugh, and its about time Manchester had some quality busking acts
The only problem I can see is two out of four of us aren't exactly the most confident of people so that initial setting up and starting to play will be a bit daunting.

Recruitment agencies - Im a lifeguard at a local pool and within a week of joining I had interviews set up at two leisure centers (they are crying out for temps... Same with other businesses in the tertiary sector; try hotels and restaurants)

I have. It involves betting online. And I can't lose. Don't believe me? Google arbitrage betting. I have found a great exploit and I take £10 a day, currently. I Don't go too high as I don't want my account banned.
