I created this thread solely to read some funny suggestions because the circumstances under which I am changing my name are horrific. You must be a complete moron to think I'm taking it seriously.

My parents are getting divorced and I don't want my father's name any longer. I don't like my mother's maiden name so my mum and I are thinking of a new surname for me.
Any suggestions? It ends in 'a' by the way so I don't want one which begins with a vowel. -

How about a number? Nobody ever seems to use numbers.
or a sound. (so rather than saying a word, you have to make a weird noise) -

You should use the same name as your mum - even if you don't like it. I take it your mother is going to use her maiden name again, so it can't be that bad. Only if it is truly horrendous do you get to choose another and then perhaps it should be your mothers mothers maiden name, and if your mother doesnt want to go back to her maiden name she could have the same one.
