    Twilight.
Ditto. Possibly the most rubbish book/film series ever and yet it's somehow managed to become a worldwide phenomenon & get thousands of hysterical fan-girls (who are actually not even girls but grown women) acting like idiots.

Fraid my memory only extends back a year or two, not the whole decade:

    Bieber
    Twilight
    RPattz/ Taylor
    Miley Cyrus
    X Factor
    Cheryl Cole
Horne and Corden and that crap show they do
Peter/ Jordan/ Alex (maybe not overrated, but overpublicised)

Just for the record, I think Leona Lewis is an amazing singer!

But I think A LOT of artists produced by reality TV are at the best average.

Im afraid you are wrong. From those three singers Beyonce is definitely the best, and she has a very strong unique voice (you would be able to tell it was Beyonce if someone didnt tell you)
Rihanna has quite a good voice, however I agree with you, it isnt unique. However just because it isnt unique, doesnt make her an 'average singer'.
Leona Lewis has a very good voice, and is perhaps the best thing to come out of that pile of crap (xfactor). She can hit a range of notes and definitely isnt an average singer. Her songs may not be the most interesting, but there is no denying that she has talent.
Cheryl cole isnt a good singer. I agree
If there was a top 1000 singer list from the last decade, beyonce most definitely would be in the top 100. And I am almost certain Rihanna and Leona lewis would make the list of 1000 singers as well. Who do you think would make the list then from the last decade?
I think you are confusing not liking their music, with them having bad voices.

I never said they are bad singers, i said they were over rated singers who wouldn't be famous if they wernt attractive role models for teenage girls who are the biggest income for the music industry.

Compared to the range of singers around from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_JLkIOnq04 to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_gk6...eature=related to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWqVIm4bAQM to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFkHylBiPyQ to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDSJjeUhJf0 etc etc a top 1000 of the decade wouldn't be picking from the charts at all and the sheer quantity of underrated talent would far outshine a few tarted up average (yes i say it again because they dont have a voice that could bring tears to your eyes like Sarah Brightmans) singers who are only famous because they sell despite being able to 'hit a few notes' just like my local choir, that girl across the road, people i met at university etc.

    cba with musical debate..

:sub: Apart from the Knickers thread.
    There's a Knickers thread?

Twilight and Facebook... and possibly Twitter purely because of the E4 adverts about how Dwayne (or whatever his name is) is "At a bar". Hooray for you, you're at a bar. Why not invite some real friends to join you instead of sitting there on your larry updating your Twitter about how you're in a bar... surely that would convey the fact that you are with no-one, or at least, no-one worth talking to so instead you're updating your Twitter, thus making people think that you have no friends, hmm? Which is why you're probably updating your Twitter anyway because no-one wanted to go to the bar with you.

I preferred the E4 adverts with the singing black dude, he was awesome.
