    What evidence?

Firstly, gay adoption is a new trend and therefore its effects on children can't be accurately gauged. why don't you quote some sources for this evidence, it would make your argument rather more convincing. Secondly, why does everybody assume that adopting children is a right? It's not. Ultimately its the well being of the kid that's the important thing rather than your 'lifestyle choice' or your happiness.
First of all, let's clear a few things up, there is nothing which is a choice about homosexuality. Also, yes, adoption should be about what is in the interest of the children and not the potential parents, however it just so happens that gay adoption is in the interests of the children, as every single piece of evidence suggests:

From the American Psychological Association ( http://www.apa.org/helpcenter/sexual-orientation.aspx ):
"Can lesbians, gay men, and bisexuals be good parents?

Yes. Studies ( http://www.apa.org/about/governance/...parenting.aspx ) comparing groups of children raised by homosexual and by heterosexual parents find no developmental differences between the two groups of children in four critical areas: their intelligence, psychological adjustment, social adjustment, and popularity with friends. It is also important to realize that a parent's sexual orientation does not indicate their children's.

Another myth about homosexuality is the mistaken belief that gay men have more of a tendency than heterosexual men to sexually molest children. There is no evidence to suggest that homosexuals or bisexuals molest children at a higher rate than heterosexuals."

The American Psychological Association is clearly a very credible source, and there are dozens more which point to exactly the same results i.e there is no difference between children raised by gay parents as opposed to straight parents. That's why gay adoption is in the interests of the child, because not only are gay parents as capable as straight parents (which is proven), any family set up allows a child to flourish far, far more than in a care home.

oh you wouldnt believe the hypocrisy surrounding that, the amount of men who think man on man is wrong but woman on woman is awesome is ridiculous. But then some men have this notion that lesbian girls are like the girls they see in porn. Granted its arousing and when you see two attractive/lipstick lesbian girls getting off with each other its great. Admittedly watching two butch dykes snog is about as attractive as drinking some one elses snot. But as far a most fair minded people are concerned then carry on.
    quote by Megan Fox:

"I think people are born bisexual and the make subconscious choices based on the pressures of society. I have no question in my mind about being bisexual. But I'm also a hypocrite: I would never date a girl who is bisexual, because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I'd never sleep with a girl who had slept with a man. "

Based on own experiences, girl talk and gossip, most don't like it up the A. This might just be my general impression though. Personally it's an instant turn-off.

(Edit: sorry, this thread is not about girls)
You said 'where it isn't supposed to be' - and that includes the mouth as well under your definition.

Further evidence Can be found in "Growing up in a Lesbian family: the Effect on child development" by Golombok.

The children involved were assessed on Gender identity, Sexual orientation, Social development and public interaction, Peer support etc.

funnily enough she concludes there was no difference in children raised by homo/heterosexual parents.

She did find however, that those raised by lesbians, were more likely to go to University :P

It's a bit disheartening to find so many people are against gay adoption . It's hard enough coming to terms with the fact that you'll never be able to have a child of your own, but then to discover that everyone thinks you're unfit to raise a child before they've even met you...

I hate the fact that I'm gay. I hate the fact that in threads like this I have to defend something that I have no control over. I'm your typical self-loathing gay, and however close to the edge I've came whilst struggling to accept what I am, It's opinions like these which remind me of all the things I'll never get to experience, and what push me closer towards the 'just giving up' option.

Well in that case, instead of pledging to reduce tuition fees maybe the Lib Dems should have just pledged an increase in lesbians

Prehaps the "I don't think gay men should adopt kids" led to your somewhat justified title of a homophobe
I think the OP is a troll/idiot, but believing that gay couple should not be allowed to adopt children is a legitimate point of view and in my opinion does not equate to homophobia.

Is there any reason you think it makes a person a homophobe? I've spoke to loads of people who agree with that view point but have no irrational objections to homosexuality whatsoever. Infact, one person that comes to mind is a homosexual himself, but thinks that he should not be allowed to adopt as part of a gay couple because it would not be a 'normal' upbringing for the child and it would lack one of the vital elements.

Thats not strictly true (the bold bit). As long as they have a working winky, they can still have a child. Just stick it in a female and close your eyes

There's a clear difference between finding that unattractive and persecuting people because of that choice. Personally I find the idea of anal between straight quite repulsive but I don't think they shouldn't be able to adopt kids because they do it?

There's nothing inherently wrong with it, no. It depends on how you treat people and behave.
To be honest I don't want to think about it either, but I'm still all for gay rights; gay marriage, adoption, etc.

According to some people this is "homophobic" instantly and now Im a bad person.

    An ignorant, vile human being.

    Yet that is my opinion.

Men who act like feminine *****es and queens are ****ing irritating.

Men who bum other men, and perve on other men irritate me.

I dont think gay men should adopt kids.

Now I must be "homophobic" right?

And no I dont neccessarily think they should all be slaughtered either

You know what OP, I AGREE!
I think the whole idea of being gay is wrong.
But I literally can not stand 'transgender', or 'people in another sexes body' because thats just illogical, and wrong. If you were born convinced you were a duck, everyone would think your ****ing insane.
But if your born a man, but demand your a woman you get a free sex change?

But I would never discriminate against anyone for being gay, and I would keep my feelings inside.

Having a opinion doesn't make you homophobic, acting on it possibly can.
They probably cant stand you either.

    How very true! +Repped!

One think I hate about sodomites is when they attempt to rationale their 'deed', by saying oh well animals have gay sex, so its natural. Well animals (e.g. pigs) also eat their own waste and have sex with their Mums and sibligs, so by that logic....

Not really...can you give an actual argument against gay adoption?

and what proof do you have that parents of the same gender cannot be good parents?
