    C4 is killing me! I can get pretty much full marks on section A but the way the questions are worded on section B makes me often wonder what I'm even supposed to be doing I'm resitting C3 aswell cause I got a D overall in Jan (A on coursework, U in exam ).

    Glad I wasn't the only one... That paper was absurd.

    Section A was fine, but Section B was terrible. Almost ran out of time as well

    A girl ran out as soon as the exam finished and cried and everyone in my class (there's only 9 of us) found it hard.
    I'm not too happy as I was depending on M1 to get some extra marks ahead of C3 and C4 Ohwell.

    Worst exam of the year, want to cry :'(
    hopefully the grade boundaries will be really low
    no clue about the last question and first question and question five seemed too easy for 4marks and 3 marks.

    I found it ridiculously hard! Thank god I aren't the only one, ran out of time so lost 6 marks on that last question already.

    When I first open the booklet and saw the first question on the boxes....I blanked out. Like seriously? Couldn't they give us lines instead of boxes :/
    I know I've lost 12 marks for definite....

    what was T1 and what was T2 for when it was stationary

    what was the expression for x

    how to prove x=20 and what was x for T2

    T1 was 2 and T2 was 4 by factorising v=24-18t+3t²

    expression for x you had to intergrate v=24-18t+3t² to get x=t^3-9t^2+24t

    and then for the last bit sub in the values of T1 and T2 into that equation

    v=24-18t+3t^2 i differentiated the equation so i got -18+6t
    at stationary it is =0 so -18+6t=0 so t=3
    therefore v = -3

    for the other one they said it was initaly at 0 so v=24
    so i got T1=(3,-3)
    T2=(0,24)
    not 100% sure though

    When it is stationary, v=0
    So 3t2 - 18t+24 = 0
    t2-6t+8 = 0
    (t-4)(t-2)
    As T2>T1
    T2 = 4
    T1 = 2
    To prove x is 20. Intergrate the equation and sub T2=4 into the equation and you'll get 20

    Harder than any past paper I've done for sure. The only question that really gave me mental block was q7. Found it confusing , oh well now for c4!

    you first had to equate it to 0 to find the times and you would have gotten t=2 and t=4 and then integrate it to find the expression for x the displacement so i would have been 24t-9t^2+x^3+c but when t=0 the displacement is 0 so c=0 and when you plug in the numbers you got 20 and when t=4 you get 16 :confused: hope this is right

    no you never had to work out accelaration because when its stationary v=0 so then you just factorise 0=24-18t+3t^2 to give you t=2 and t=4
