Totally agree. I started at UCL in September, it's a big step up. Mind you, I've had a break from studying between A-Levels and now, so that's probably a factor in the difficulty.
Not to worry you, but, if you're in your first year, be prepared for it to get 1000000x harder in the 2nd and 3rd years :P Seriously. The first year is a joke. Happy studying *pats on the back* Nah, as long as you enjoy the subject, the workload shouldn't bother you too much.

No they are not easy you need to spend so much time and revise literally everyday for them all. Its not like GCSE where you can revise 3 or 4 days before and still get an A if you did that for AS/A2 you are likely to get a D/E/U

I do Lit, Maths, Psych, Bio and RS. Maths is fairly easy (though this is AS...at A2 it'll be much worse); Biology is quite hard; RS is just right, though with a high workload; Psychology is just right, considering how hard it is to get full marks in essays; and English Lit is quite hard, though my favourite subject.

A levels are nowhere near too easy. Think of it this way: the Russell Group unis and other really good unis like Surrey all want basically all A grades with the occasional B, and three quarters of grades are B or below. The most common grade is a C. We are not in a dire situation. Of course it's easy to get an E, because an E is a bad grade. As are not easy. Sixth formers work ridiculously hard.
