Smallish punnet of raspberries- £2
Big bar of chocolate- £1
That's one of the problems.
1 apple - 30p
A bunch of 5 bananas will cost you about 60p. A banana being about 15p will fill you up a lot more than any chocolate bar will. Plus you don't pay VAT on it so that benefits those on low incomes!
People just lack self control, the system is also rigged against them. Normal products that people would think are relatively healthy are actually injected with a lot of salt and sugar. Portions are generally too large. We've had a huge influx in Mcdonalds/fried chicken shops/Kebab shops open all over the country (especially in poorer areas).
Eating healthily is not expensive. I do it on less than £15 a week most weeks. People just need to be educated and spend more time preparing food (or just using a slow cooker to good effect) rather than reaching for their phone and ordering **** from 'Just Eat'.
There needs to be massive guidance from the government on this issue because it'll spiral out of control, but they wouldn't really want that. As long as rich kids stay youthful and healthy then that's all they care about.

The people that eat and then do no excercise. It's nobody's fault but there own. They control what they put into their bodies.
