    They largely don't.
    i.e. they do.

(I would've been less curt if you hadn't pulled the 'dead cat' analogy)

Oh, gosh... This is hilarious. Really, really hilarious. I vote for Type 2. Is this your interpretation of the "family man" versus the "Alpha Male" by any chance, OP...?

Why can't they look and dress like type 2 but sometimes act like type 1?
    It's just not possible.

Then the dead cat analogy was even more appropriate than I thought, it would seem.

dude you might mean well and I appreciate it...whatever.
But if you've got anything to contribute to that argument please do so,or else just quit it with the whole passive-aggressive thing. I'm a girl with girl friends and I can honestly say I don't need anymore of that drama from anywhere else.

    Generalise about politically left-wing people.
It's a factually correct generalization. Lefties simply do not(*ever) appeal to biology to reinforce their policies or beliefs. It has never happened. It's always been "social engineering" ;"being socialized"; " social construct";everything-literally everything they talk about can somehow be traced to that. And why? well because biological wiring and evolution,if carefully analyzed, will always lead you to believe that 100 % equality (and all that yada-yada lefties preach) isn't natural.
You've done the same thing yourself tbf so I don't see what the big deal is.Or is your problem the fact that you hate "generalization"(as indeed all lefties seem to turn red at the mere mention of the word).is that it? Please let one of these things be it and not the alternative(which would be you being butt-hurt and making a big deal out of me not being civil to lefties...cause that'd be way too pathetic for words).

You're saying that this: "Then again explaining biology to lefties is often similar to trying to resuscitate a dead cat on the side of the road.So meh."

    is a factually correct generalisation?
i.e. that being politically left of centre prevents one from grasping science. Come on, that's poor. This thread isn't even about politics. Not to mention the fact that I hadn't even disagreed with you (or even with the OP, if you'll reread my post it was an explanation as to why others where rejecting his question).

I haven't made a big deal at all (yet
    ).

Tbh, the relationship between science and socialism is always an interesting thing to debate (apologies to the OP for going off topic) so on a different note:

I disagree that Socialism's egalitarian philosophy seeks to ignore our 'biological wiring' (obviously other people may disagree but the whole 'biology doesn't matter' thing tends to be a extreme Feminist principle). I myself believe that a meritocratic society can be a socially just one. The problem is ensuring everyone gets a equal opportunity to achieve their ambitions. Its a moral question, one that only applies to human beings - a species that isn't slave to its past. The real goal (forgive my passion) is to transcend that which keeps us bound to petty, greedy habits. We shouldn't all have a great big free-for-all (the economic equivalent being Laissez faire which resulted in massive poverty before the post-war consensus). The 'biology' is to be accepted. But science sets us free by letting us understand these things (I myself am a member of the Physics social group with plans to carry on the subject so you'll see why I chaff at being called scientifically ignorant). Perhaps we're not all 'equal' based on certain measurements, but that's not our fault. Striving for a decent basic standard for all people regardless of who they are and where they come from is a noble one I think.

For the record, I don't believe in '100% equality' in the way I assume you mean. Such an arrangement is impractical to implement and is perhaps better described as Marxist Communism (but I'm not an expert on the ideas of Karl Marx so I could be making a mistake by saying that). The operative word in Democratic Socialism is (I think) 'democratic'. Similarly I'm not against capitalism/business - its about making those forces work for ordinary people.

Wow. That kinda just spilled out. Sorry
    (politics geek)
(Btw the above isn't an attack, its an explanation of the beliefs of many people that you may have misunderstood or not met)
I could go deeper into my ideas about the progression of a 'socialist' society into a libertarian one (as opposed to a communist one theorised by Marx) but I really should stop myself shouldn't I lol
