Pretty sure you're just trolling at this point but I'll humour you anyway: No, but society needs to wake up and realise that there's a massive problem with wealth distribution if it means women have to resort to prostitution simply to make ends meet.
I doubt the 'oldest profession in the world' is something we are going to suddenly wake up to...

EDIT: Oh, and if anyone were that interested in helping prostitutes feed their kids: He could simply pay her whatever fee she charged and then leave. Or wait around, just in case there's a pimp or something checking if anything's suspicious going on.
I didn't say they were interested in feeding their kids. Just your suggestion would mean they wouldn't get fed.

Just because something's been around since forever doesn't mean it should be left as is. War's the oldest concept in the world but no one's going to say "WAR IS GOOD YAY".

So what are you suggesting then? Having sex with a prostitute is doing her a favour?

Besides the fact that Pentameter was...six years ago, and was unlikely to have visited every single sex worker in the UK (i.e. there's still a risk of having sex with someone who's been trafficked):

    - IIRC quite a few were arrested for stuff like illegal immigration and drug use. It's no coincidence that drug use and prostitution often go hand in hand - it's a very seedy world to get involved with.
I'm not just talking about the UK anyway, I'm sure it's all good in the Netherlands.

The lady in the video herself said most prostitutes were mothers trying to support their families during the recession...it hardly seems like they took up the work for the fun of it. How would you like it if someone you were close with (e.g. close female friend, sister, maybe even mother) had no alternative but to turn themselves into lovable pieces of meat for dozens, maybe hundreds of awful men?
As far as I'm concerned, if a lot of men could be prostitutes for women and make as much of a profit from it as the females, it would be a win-win for us, but we know that's far from reality so I can't imagine how bad it'd be if I was in their shoes. As disgusted as I would be at female loved ones taking part in it, it's there own sex life not mine, and it all depends on whether they really want it or not and whether mutual consent is involved, (e.g. I wouldn't even want to see my parents having sex but I'm not gonna stop them), and why assume that all men who see prostitutes are awful, just because they want a guaranteed sex life given that mutual consent is involved?

Other reasons for not going down the prostitution route: Risk of STDs, most (non-prostitute) women are never going to give you the time of day once they find out (although if you're seriously considering it you probably have no respect for women anyway - so there's that), and you're just setting yourselves up for an unhappy time with someone who really does not want to be having sex with you. How hard is that to understand?
Do Prostitutes avoid revealing their disease to get more man to pay them to have sex, including the clean men, if not then they themselves don't have respect for guys like me, not vice versa, I'm not gonna bang one if I know she's infected, especially with a disease that a condom can't prevent. Like I said, if she didn't want to have sex with me after taking my money, I don't see why that should be my problem or my fault. If you're a waitress at a restaurant, you can hate your job as much as you like, as long as you don't tell me(because I'll tell you to either quit or save the drama for your mama) and I get my food exactly the way I asked for it, either that or my refund.

Why not find a friend with benefits?
    It's casual and less desperate
If he knew how, or had done it before, do you think he'd still be asking this.

Don't try going down this route - with your attitude, it's not going to end well.

Brothels are illegal in the UK, and this is including Erotic massage parlors, which are basically brothels as well. The only form of prostitution that is legal is escorting, so yes, most forms of prostitution ARE illegal in the UK.

It's illegal to own or run a brothel (or allow one in a property you control) but not to work in one or visit one.

How much the police care about the ones in their area depends on which force you're talking about. Some raid any they know about, others invite the owners onto committees so they can be run better...
