I honestly havent got a clue. We had a lecture by the current team, and from what I remember of it it looks like its only final year and MEng/MSc who are part of the actual team. You can help out with "spannering" if you know anything about cars and you get in touch with the current team. However, we werent told anything about that.

The car from a few years back is in the Canalside West foyer and last I checked the current one is in the workshops in Tech building.

Just dont mention what happened at the sponsorship day at the stadium to anyone who works on the car

The steering and suspension rig totalled after the car hit a rutt in the carpark. If it had happened earlier in the day, it would have been in front of Patrick Stewart and every other sponsor they were trying to get

Hi Everyone!

I have an unconditional offer on Interactive Multimedia. Will be stayin in Storthes come sept.

Im originally from Huddersfield but have been at The University of Central Lancashire in Preston for the last year. The course just wasn't right for me.

To all those who are worried about not knowin anyone when you get there, trust me, u dont need to worry. I was in the same boat when I went to preston. There will be 500+ people thinking the same as u. By the end of the first 2 weeks u will have literally met over 100 people. U might even feel like u know too many people! Just arrive with a head on social attitude, cos u know thats what u want others to be like!

Anyway, look forward to meetin u all.

PS anyone know if the uni organizes a ski or snowboardin trip??

Just wanted to pop by and welcome all the new faces around here, hopefully you recieve the grades and points you want or need. Do not worry entirely if you don't, Huddersfield does have foundation degrees and HND courses that you may automatically be assigned to if you do not meet their degree requirements. After a year you can speak to your course leader and the degree course leader about getting transfered onto the degree if you can proove you can do it.

I don't come on here much, but feel free to add me on msn and shout at me for answers or information.

Anyhow, best wishes and good luck, may see you around Huddersfield sometime

Hey everyone, so whats the deal with the Internet.

• How much does it cost, anyone actually know?
• Is it really as bad as everyone makes out?
• How fast is it?

Looking forward to seeing you all at Storthes Hall, can't wait.

- Prices are in one of the other threads, think it's the 'Accommodation - confused' one, but if you get a premium room it's included.
- It can be worse than gets made out, but in a place where there's 1000+ people using the same connection point then there will be problems. MCW seem to have got slightly better in sorting problems out though.
- Depends on if it's having a good day or not.

Congratulations look forward to seeing you there. I've been accepted too, but for Secure and Forensic Computing (anyone doing this either?) and I'm sure that the first year is almost identical for everyone doing a computing subject so we shall no doubt see each other around.
