Just because one government that looked unlikely ended up being a disaster doesn't mean that another government that looks unlikely at first sight wouldn't learn from what has happened over the last month, make an effort to be better and turn out to be surprisingly stable. Besides, a fair portion of this government's woes were caused by the behaviour of certain individuals more than anything else.

Probably. That, and ensure that you're on civil enough terms for senior members of the different parties to agree about the prime ministerial line of succession.

Until such a time that an amendment might have passed that cements it in the constitution

As soon as an amendment passes is it in effect, even if the constitution document is never updated.

True, but it's easier to conveniently forget about it if it's not in the document

That only works when at the very least the person who proposed the amendment is gone.

I can put up with no government and the fact that the referendum screws us a bit.

I will say however that it is not the speakers job to protect leaderless parties. One of the great things about the PM having the power to call an election is that they call it at a politically opportune moment.

On this Occasion I think I will have to disagree with the speaker of the house and think if the VONC Passes will should have a General election, like previously mentioned if there was no government Activity levels would drop

It's rather arrogant for members of the current government to think their mistakes would be made by others in their position.
