I applied for an economist role but haven't heard anything since doing the exercise after the video interview. I guess it's good that I haven't received a no e-mail, but it's still not looking great!

I have run out of graduate schemes to apply to. Unfortunately I never get past the interview stage. Does anyone know of a graduate recruitment agency I can get in touch with who would help me find a graduate level job in Finance/Banking?. Sorry this is a bit off topic

Chased them up and they said my application is still under consideration (,economist role)... I suppose they will wait until after the acs to finish rejecting people...?

Yeah I was told something similar. There's a chance that we are being considered for a different division maybe? After all their ACs are meant to go until 29 January. I didn't do badly in the analytical exercise, so it would be strange if I didn't make the cut because of that, but who knows!

Is there anyone who completed the analytical exercise who has received a rejection e-mail?

Also, blinks123: I think most recruiters focus on people with a bit more experience, might be best to try apply for jobs through informal processes and try for grad positions again next year

Does anyone on here have an Economics MSc? I'm currently doing one and in the video interview said I'd love to work for Monetary Analysis (which I've heard only accept MSc grads) - haven't heard anything yet so hoping they're just taking a bit longer...
Also, could someone post the link to the application portal login page? I can't find where to login anywhere!
Good luck if you're going to an AC next week!

I'm also an msc student... I said something similar in my video interview. I suppose I had assumed the economists would all be contacted at once but I suppose you may be right, they may have broken the acs into departments or something along those lines. Makes sense as they don't hold big acs, last year there were only about 8 people at each.

I can't find the login anywhere either!

Yes I applied for economist specialist track, going to have the AC next tuesday (12th)...in the email they said it is difficult to reschedule the AC day because it is "skills based". Which means the AC are per department so my interpretation is that it might take them time to go through all the eligible applicants if it is like last year (8 people per AC).

    Thanks for this info

I am going to be slightly annoyed if they wait until after all the acs to reject people. However that does seem unlikely. Maybe they are running an economist ac with the top choices, then seeing how many they want and potentially running another the week after. Hence some people being "on hold". They just said theyd get back to me as soon as possible which could mean any time!

I'm also on the 12th so catch you there! I said monetary analysis as well (MSc. Econ also), but i'm not sure it is department based - did they tell you which part of the bank was interviewing you?

Good point, they didn't say in the email but I guess it will be MA? because it seems like only MA has economist positions from their website... Unless I have missed something...I said monetary analysis as well in the video interview (and also MSc econ).

Yes, I will see you there! ;-)

Have you heard after your video interview?

"Dates for your diary: Should you be successful at this stage of the process, we are planning on running assessment centres between 11th and 29th January."

This is from the email that you get in case you pass the video interview and get invited to the next test.

Hi guys, i was just invited to an AC and its for a generalist role, I'm pretty sure I applied for a specialist role on the application. Anyone know what the difference is really?

Also does anyone else know what the AC will consist of? The email doesn't give away much detail other than having an interview and group exercises

Congrats ano! Would you mind telling what date your AC is and whether you got a call as well or just an email?

Maybe some of the guys doing it today will be able to say what it's like.

Anyone apply for the economics division and still waiting to hear back from BOE after the gold test? I actually scored pretty well, 100% in the first part and 74% in the second but I haven't been sent an update yet.

Me too! I'm travelling at the moment as well so I'm worried I might not get the call or won't have enough time to get back!
