Got 89. Quite happy considering it was only my second one ever, but still angry that I didn't answer more questions, as looking through the questions afterwards I realised how easy a few of the 'more advanced' ones actually were.

Some idiot posted their answers (apparently 25/25) on here and sadly loads of people copied in my school! How did TSR let it stay on for ages?

It sucks for one guy, probably the smartest in our school, got 24/25. His first language isn't english (he just came fresh) and he didn't understand oen question I don't think. Meanwhile everyone else will get 25/25..

I ****ed up quite badly tbh but I'm not planning on mentioning UKMT at all as I have never got a gold (never prepared)

Wow I feel sorry for that guy. Seriously action needs to be taken against the individual who posted answers.

Yeah, it's alright he will smash the BMO1 as he did whatever maths thing they had in China well

It'll be obvious when people who've previously been getting bronze/silvers suddenly get full marks.

Think I got 117 if I didn't do anything stupid which is unlikely lol

I think they should really have had a specific time for it anyway UKMT should have known something like this would happen eventually

the whole point is that it's meant to be some fun maths where people get rewarded, and it is flexible for schools... We did ours at 10:45 so some people will have just finished, and it turned out someone posted their resutls who did it before 9 or so... I didn't even realise TSR wouldn't admin this forum/thread as it's unfair for people who didnt see the answers!

No that's not practical due to people in diff countries sitting the exam. They use the same system for A level/GCSE exams anyway, and that seems to work fine

I got 90 and am in year 12. Respectable score.
Last year I did the senior maths challenge and got 89 ( Kangaroo + best in year), so I guess it is an improvement, but I got 110 in the intermediate challenge and got Olympiad best in school.
I suppose it wasn't my day. Looking back at the questions I didn't answer, they were pretty easy, but I guess I always have next year to redeem myself.
That said, question 25 this year was surprisingly straightforward. Did anybody else think so?
