Slang words that make you cringe... watch

Cringe? Nah none of them make me cringe.. It's more like this, I get a feeling that it's my duty to walk over to whoever used a slang word and tell them I hope they get molested. Then I would walk off.. That is how I feel about slang.. I know that wasn't funny.. It wasn't meant to be... I hate people who choose to use words such as 'fam', 'mandems' and other words like that.. I'd hate to sound evil but I wouldn't mind hitting them with a car ...

I know... I know.. There's something wrong with me.

It's a really common term in Liverpool. I hear it on a daily basis.

    You suppose?

I think the more important question here is why are you pronouncing bird "beard"? Could that not mean girls are thinking you're calling them your "beard"?

On a serious note, you do you. :yep: It's just a term that's always irked me. It's always felt quite dehumanising to me, but personal preference.

No idea why people think banter is slang.

They only make me cringe when used online.

Violated (I have overheard people saying this and it sounds rapey, I know its used as an indication that someone has been decimated in a verbal altercation. But still. It sounds gross.)
Leggo (whats so hard about saying lets go? Why does it need to be shortened?)

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. :yep:

I thought you meant you actively pronounced it like that -- which doesn't make sense now, but it was early. Apologies.

Are you from Birmingham, like your profile says? I always thought "bird" was more of a Liverpool thing. :holmes:
