Far from posh tbh  He and his pals were seriously into modding - it was a Ford Fiesta and they'd basically sawn the roof off of it and put a soft-top on, did a ****ing brilliant job of it tbf. Also lowered the suspension and put spoilers and a bodykit on it. Insurers seemed to be a hell of a lot more lenient on these things back in the 90s
haha, a lot of my mates are like that. Cars always bored me to tears.

which ones do you not like.

My Garage knowledge isn't as on point as it is with Grime. I am a Grime encyclopedia tbf.
Tbf, Neighbourhood and Hold On are certified classics; the others kind of represent the downfall of Garage, for me.

    For your consideration

Yeah thought so, I'm younger than you and music wasn't as accessible back in the Garage heyday, especially not in the Midlands or outside of London. My only exposure to it was whatever was played on radio or the really big tracks like Booo, 21 Seconds, Bound 4 Da Reload etc.

Cheers for the tunes, will check them out.

Fair points. I sometimes forget that people didn't have the same access as I did, what with the pirate radio stations etc. The sound filled the air, back in those days...

When we were teenagers my cousin set up a radio antenna in his loft connected to his stereo (his dad was an electrician and he was a bit of an electronics nerd) and he used to borrow these off me:

just so that he could broadcast garage all day and night long. The signal only covered about half a mile radius. I still wonder if anybody ever actually heard it.

That is amazing! Reps to you and your cousin!!

Garage Nation was run by the same guy that did One Nation, the Drum and Bass rave, Terry Turbo. People may know him as a shitbag from various films including Rolling With the Nines, Rise of the Footsoldier etc. /funfact
