That was coming for the entire game. That's what you gt at this level if you fail to take so many chances.

YES, RUSSIA SCORED. MULTICULTURAL ENGLAND COULD NOT DEFEAT IT, despite the biased referee in their favor.

Sterling is so different compared to when he was at liverpool. Nothing more than a kick and run merchant. I can't really see where the talk of him being exceptionally quick comes from; he never gets away from players and gets caught by 30 odd year old centre halves even when he has a couple of yards on them. It's like watching a FIFA game where John Terry beats Theo Walcott in a 20 yard sprint.

    Typical..

Was a good performance surprisingly. Just a shame the result didn't match it.

Same old England, play well and have a promising game, but **** up in the end, almost laughably predictable, we really don't like to win opening games at tournaments and I could see the equaliser coming. And I can't stand all this 'so cruel' and 'they deserved to win' from the pundits, there's no excuse for dominating like that and not winning, only scoring one goal from a set piece ultimately isn't good enough.

Well he wanted that move to Man City. Seems to have stalled his progression this season. Maybe Guardiola can have a better influence his development.

Sterling stayed on way too long. He was ****ing awful. No ideas going forward.

We sat too deep in the final few minutes, and the changes accommodated for that. We were comfortable playing on the front foot and should have had the confidence to play through to the end.

Got into some good positions going forward, dominated, but nobody took advantage.

Unfortunately, wales will let England win. Maybe Slowakia can steal them two points.

England deserved so much more, let down by a bad defence. A s*** tactical placement, a s*** manager. Every tournament we find away to f*** up #HOGDSONOUT

Yup, failing to take chances and defensive lapses mean you get punished.

If it did not happen against Russia today it was bound to happen against a better team.
