    No it's not confusing I totally understand what you mean (as you already may know LOL) I'm glad I'm not the only one in two minds. It's also the fact that people are spending like 100s on outfits some girls have gone extreme they've spent £2500 of a dress alone. how much is the car going to be? And what about the extra stuff?
    People go on like its their wedding day (just a lot less money compared to an actual event like that)
    Whaaaaat did someone really spend 2500 on a dress? I know its not my problem but thats actually so daft it makes me mad

    I'm not going because I have no friends and social anxiety, so if I was to go then all I would be doing is sitting by myself in the corner, crying.

    It really f*cking sucks to have no friends... ;_;
    I feel the same way :heart:

    I'm sending you a virtual hug It sucks people treat you so crappy right. Aw I used to sit on my own too but I have no shame and I dont really care about what people think about me. Luckily now it's Ramadan so I dont have to eat. And I would totally be your friend if I knew you hehe. Dont be sad, are you going to leave your school for sixth form and meet new people?

    Exams are soon to be over and proms coming...

    What is everyone doing for prom?

    If your not going why not?
    If you are that's great, have a good time.

    Anyway I don't know if i should go to prom, I'm having mixed feelings.
    One moment I don't want to go because I don't like certain people. But then its the last time with all these people the ones I like and those that i don't.

    Is anyone feeling the same?
    Had my prom last year; dressed up nice, complimented people I don't like on outfits that were horrible and put up with a great deal of small talk. However if you don't go you will regret it, so many of the people I've known for over 10 years went off to different colleges and 6th Forms and it was really nice to be able to say bye to them all.

    Plus all the teachers got absolutely smashed and once all the c**ts of the year left to 'after parties' all the fun people got up and danced Grease Lightning, The Macarena, the Cha Cha Slide etc. and everyone still there had a great time.

    Just try and take a hip-flask of vodka with you to make some of the talking more tolerable

    Yeah it's too late, we were supposed to hand in letters to say that we were going a couple weeks ago, and I didn't hand one in. But it's okay because I pretty much don't exist to anyone at my school :ashamed:

    Not going. Too much money for something I won't enjoy. I like about 2% of the people attending. It's a huge competition at school. Who has the best vehicle? Who has the best dress? Who has the best hair & make up? Who throws the best after party? Splashing out to be sat in some grimy casino-themed venue with mostly nasty, judgemental teenagers, overpriced food (that I wouldn't even be able to eat because no vegetarian options), crappy disco music, the whole thing just some kind of Miss USA test... No, not my cup of tea. I'd prefer a treat after finishing school, not expensive torture.

    Aw thats not true. Why would they think that about you though? I bet there's at least 1 person who wants to be your friend
