    3) Award for Best Legislation

I will have to consult with former Speakers to come to a decision over the Order of Gaitskell, which given how unexpectedly busy my week has been I have not done yet.
Or we could stick with somebody decent and keep the Order of Gladstone instead of that Gaitskell idiot

It is tradition that the Order award is given to a historic politician cut from similar cloth as the sitting Speaker. Under Birch it was the Order of Gladstone, under Faland it was the Order of Lenin etc.

Something tells me that the Russians won't approve of the order of Lenin being used

Regardless, couldn't you think of anybody more expensive?

Had half hoped I could win an award but I was up against RayApparently at being nice and Quamquam123 for being new (and voted for qq so I guess I can't really complain there)

His death set Labour back decades, which is pretty significant in a party that is barely a century old.

Ah shucks, thanks Ray (I don't think I have ever said shucks before) you are one of the nicest members going though so don't you deserve the award as much as anyone!

As speaker I know you have to be neutral so I won't start a debate, just that I find this thought pretty fascinating.

Can't be sure what he meant. There are plenty of positive things with five characters.

Maybe he meant "Kay is a great."
