Yes ik, but my class mates at sixthform were like all you will be doing is 'driving an ambulance', they have NO CLUE what paramedic is -.-''. Also some of my classmates just think about money, some of them come up to me and say I want to become a nurse because I get x amount of money or I want to become a paedetrician because of this amount of money. it really bugs me....... Then they have the need to tell me I should do the same degree as them and earn x amount of money.

For all you muslims and non muslims out there that celebrate eid ( which is on monday), eid mubarak to you all and enjoy yourself.

Don't listen to them and I say make new friends who are supportive. Being a paramedic is not about driving an ambulance. They are a important part of society and the 1st point of contact in a emergency :yep: it's also a very stressful job.

When your friends are dying on the floor, who are they gonna call? The paramedics will they be insulting them then when they save there lives. I don't think so :giggle:

Just to say to anyone who has done badly in their GCSE's it doesn't mean they will do badly at A-Levels as I got 4 A*'s 3 A's 2 B's and 1 C (which admittedly isn't terrible) at GCSE but at A-Level I got 3 A*'s in Biology, maths and chemistry (even though I got an A in GCSE chemistry) as long as you change your attitude and work ethic it isn't impossible
    Very true, I agree.

My uncle, mashallah, did Btec ( this was long ago around 2009) applied science level 3. He got DMM and wanted to become a doctor, but no one believed in him since ofc, its impossible to become a doctor with a btec course and fairly average GCSE results. He went to do biochemistry at queen mary ( queen mary used to accept BTEC students but these russel groups do not anymore, which is unfair imo). Long story short, he got first class degre in biochem and first class degree in medicine. He believed at the start that he became a doctor and proved everyone wrong. Don't give up what you want to do. yes they may be hurdles for you to get to where you want but it will feel great once you leaped that hurdle.

There is more to the story but I am not bothered saying all of it.
