...feel free to share your thoughts on what's aired so far. Which first episodes have you liked or disliked? Do the sequels look as though they'll live up to their earlier series? Who are your favourite characters? Or anything else that springs to mind. :p:

    Keijo!!!!!!!!

From the best of the season to... well, Keijo!!!!!!!!, the only series I've come across with more exclamation marks than letters to its name. This series is literally about girls slamming their busts and backsides into other girls to score points for cash prizes and to entertain crowds, so it goes without saying that the fanservice levels are high. I've seen enough T & A to last a whole season from this episode alone, so I won't be keeping it on. On the positive side, there was plenty of variation in the character designs and body types, they weren't all balloon-breasted clones with a token loli as you find with a lot of other ecchi shows. Animation and music was pretty good, voice acting was nice, and featured a lot of regional accents. Just definitely not my kind of series.
Now that I finished my 10hr~ work, I can finally add this picture

    By the way

In the west, it's used for anything that's a step below hentai (anime porn), so anything with loads of pantyshots or 'censored until DVD' scenes.

In the end, it comes down to personal preference. Why would someone enjoy the lighter version of hentai when you can just watch the 'harder' or standard version. But I guess they are both acceptable and as for the ecchi - not everyone enjoys the ultimate hentai experience so they rather pick something smaller? (in terms of content) Unless you're under 18 kids which means you shouldn't google these. *noway*

They can't air outright hentai titles on TV, so there's that reason. :p: Plus some series actually have stories (some thinner than others) as well as the fanservice.

I did not get any notification once again, your posting interval is wicked.

that's cool if they have some sort of content to it, I mean you wouldn't want to see them only performing various actions. I do not really know what to expect from the fan service, but I assume there's some additional stuff that is related to your needs>.. *not sure*

it's ranked #50 on anime-planet so it must be pretty good? I guess - above average, not like i'm interested though.

it depends what you mean by 'explicit'

    Ajin 2

Well that was definitely the best first episode of the season for me. Such a shame there aren't going to be reliable, weekly subs for the series. :sigh: After a brief recap of the exciting final episodes of series 1, Ajin 2 began with Tosaki getting a final warning from his superiors - if he can't stop Satou, hell awaits him. Meanwhile, our atypical protagonist Nagai has also decided to take down Satou, but needs help to do so. His only ally currently is Nakano... I'd forgotten how much of an idiot he was, especially compared with Nagai. His constant screw ups and stupid answers to Nagai's questions were hilarious. Through the use of blackmail, Nagai forms an unlikely alliance with Tosaki, as Satou's 'second wave' of terrorism begins. No notable production changes from the first series, so if the 3D animation didn't bother you then, it won't now.

Horrendously late, my apologies. It's been a busy week!

    Fune wo Amu

A series about a publishing company making a dictionary was never going to be fast-paced or action-packed. It didn't even have any of the comedy that other slice of life series this season had. It's very much a serious, mature drama, and definitely not for everyone. One of the members of the dictionary department is being forced to retire due to family circumstances, but tries to find a suitable replacement before he leaves, so that their latest and greatest dictionary doesn't go unfinished. Fortunately, our main character Majime is practically a walking dictionary, and seems like he'd be much better suited to the job than his current position in sales. I can't really fault the first episode, it was well written, directed and animated, but I can't say it excited me. I'll be leaving my watching list as it is.

No sign of Idol Memories yet. :tumble:
