This has nothing to do with Zoella!?

To quote: "You're an absolute joke". That's pretty personal and rude, no?

That was all I had an issue with
I'm sorry, that's harsh but you kept saying I'm being not nice to that family when I've said one thing I didn't like that they did. You made at least 5 posts to me, when I explained my points. You called me insulting etc but I don't care.

    Bye, have a nice life

    Welcome to capitalism.

You do "real" jobs so others can rabbit on about make up or video games etc

Youtube's a *****y place to be right now anyway, not a stable platform to base your livelihood on.

The concept of vlogging for money is similar to porn camgirls, truth.

And some of them are useless, completely worthless stuff like reaction vids, and challenges like eating **** and dares.

Other stuff is a bit of talent, other stuff is useful Yes they're looking for sponsors ontop of whatever official income they get.

Mark Zuckerberg is a billionaire and like the 3rd richest person ever for sponsoring **** alone. His website being so popular (****ing facebook) that business used the site as a platform to sell their own stuff through offering him cash for permission and basically thank you money.

So while it's not conventional, traditional, respectable in the least, it's really the sponsors bribing nonprofit website owners (tumblr, FB, twitter, alibaba, once upon a time myspace lol) and app developers (instagram, whatsapp) who are all dirt rich now, and internet personalities want to become rich through exposure to sell stuff and host ads.

Right. YouTubers are pissing a lot of people off. Take Saffron Barker, someone who thinks college isn't for her because she's resorted to posting videos on a website - labelling such an activity as a full time job. However, others, such as Eve Bennett (evebennettx - she's on TSR) don't see YouTube as a long term solution to earning money. Eve runs a revision channel too, which evidently is an act of philanthropy; amazingly she attained around 10-11 A*s at GCSE. Conversely, Saffron receives an income for posting pointless vlogs about her and fellow YouTuber (her boyfriend) Jake Mitchell. Eve committed to a similar thing over the summer but now she is at Sixth Form working her socks off whilst Saffron Barker posts vlogs for money! Just do porn!

I have lots of respect for Eve but none for Saffron. Do you think, at 16, YouTube should be an option (obviously as a job?) Should I start YouTube?
I watch them both and i agree I don't know what saffron thinks she's doing tbh !!

Good for them, I say. I tried a YouTube thing a while back - it wasn't blogging about myself, but movie reviews. It did all right, I got pocket money rather than a living. I lost interest after a while though.
