For me personally i dislike the taste of alcohol and dont see the need to travel a bit to go to a club to order coca cola with a fancy slice of lemon in it when i can just get 2 litres of coca cola an whole lemons for cheaper than the 500mls they give you
The music they play is too loud for me
I dont like the music they play
There isnt enough space to dance and mainly club music is undanceable for me

I can very much dance to my tunes in my halls room and blast out music in my room and get cheaper drinks
A mini club for one or a few friends and i would be less embarrassed about my dancing skills but at least i have rhythm
And would be a bit more spaceous

forgot i'm asking this to a bunch of people on TSR what do you guys do at freshers, then?
I don't dance, so I hate clubs. In freshers. I went to the bar nearly every night with flatmates and friends and met a few nice people who I'm still friends with. I did go to the club a few nights, and the atmosphere just felt poisonous. Most the people I know that go to clubs say they had a great night blahblah, yet nothing good happens to them....

Because unless I get wasted, I'm just going to be standing drinking something I hate the taste of and is overpriced, in a vain attempt of talking to someone, which I can go do literally anywhere else. Couple with **** dancing skills and a dislike of being thrown in a room with random people, makes clubbing my actual idea of hell.

i can understand if people don't like to drink, whether it be a religious reason; health anxiety; expensiveness of alcohol; bad taste, etc. but why are there people who don't like clubbing? what is there not to like about dancing with friends to good music til the early hours of the morning??? i don't get it
Music, warmth the strange people. The fact those who might be clubbing aren't your friends.
