If you bf's the one cheating on you, confront him and not her - it's most probably not her fault but his, he's the one seeig two people at once! Talk to him about it, tell him how you feel and your anger, hence the email. As for the email, just leave it. No good can come of communicating with her, imagine how she feels too!

I've already confronted him, and she was aware that we were in a relationship when she slept with him.

    ok update.

my bf said he ran into the girl earlier today and she said she has reported both of us and said that she had a crime reference number. She also told him that she was going to make "both of our lives hell and ruin our futures"

um, what should I do now?

I did something I'm not proud of. After finding out my boyfriend cheated on me I sent a nasty e-mail to the girl he cheated on me with. I immediately regretted it and I know it was a really stupid thing to do so please don't tell me that - I know!!

Basically the e-mail told her to stay away from my boyfriend, she was a homewrecker and that I hope that she was clean because I didn't want to catch anything from her. Once again, yes I very much regret it.

Now she is saying she registered a formal complaint with the police for 'internet abuse' and I'm quite worried. COuld I actually get in trouble for this.
Tell her to **** off. Seriously. Where i'm from her face would have got kicked in so don't worry. E-mail her and say i'm going to file a formal complaint on your dad's penis.

Whats the worse that can happen a slap on the wrist. As for ruining your futures...hardly.:yep:

Sounds like a load of rubbish to me, she's most-likely lying.

I'd ignore her completely, you've done nothing wrong, but have been cheated on, you were going through a emotional moment, this happens everyday. Don't worry about it.

That sounds like harassment on her part. Report her, see how fun she finds it then.

Either ignore her or send the email. Wollsmoth, of course, is another idiot. Ignore him completely whenever you see that he has posted.

OK I have a further update

Basically the girl has e-mailed everyone on her contacts list telling them that she has filed a complaint against the police against both of us giving both of our full names and telling them not to communicate with us.

I'm really upset about this whole situation. Is there anything I can do other than just ignore her?

You now have a choice of continuing to ignore her or sending her an email which might be along the lines of "I am not foolish enough to fall for your lies about reporting me to the police. I committed no crime in originally contacting you and no court would uphold any such charge against me, even if the police could be persuaded to waste their time in pursuing the matter, so don't waste your time and my time in making such claims. If you continue to harass us, on the other hand, or send any more malicious emails to one of us, or to anyone else about us, I will have no hesitation in taking the matter to the police myself ,as your behaviour constitutes harassment."

Shouldn't you have sent the e-mail to your boyfriend?
